My p2p (emule) is still dead slow. average of 1.5KB/s down and 0.7KB/s up, torrents are between 12KB/s and 18KB/s down.

Shaping RS now? torrents shaped a while now....why are you not just shaping the line speed? no matter what the protocol? This is becoming more like openwebs openbrowse.

If you throttle these protocols well below the 256k mark that means they wil NEVER be burstable...sounds like false advertising to me?

Im still not seeing any increase in my news server speeds. It used to be close to 37kB/s - 41kB/s now its just below 20kB/s.

One of the biggest costs to all these new isp's is the telkom IPC costs.

I really think a lot more noise should be made about it, it's killing progress in this country. You would think government with their new broadband initiatives would realize the pricing of just this one product would change everything.

Telkom IP-Connect is exactly the same as the cellphone interconnect rate.

Same problem, different day.

Give them some time, they are probably working and trying to sort out the speed issues with RS, news servers and torrents, maybe by the end of the day things will be better?!

yip all is snail slow now, not getting any seeds in torrents and no sources in emule.

yes fine they are working on it but charging for it? i say they must give all subscribers Jan for free...
i even got them 2 clients which are now asking every day what the status of the network is lol

Maybe! They should consider buying more bandwidth to sustain the amount of users on the network.

It's like having 10000 cars on the road and only 100 litres of fuel per month to run on. ****
