DigiChilli January Status and feedback

What size is R200 then? :erm:

Was reffering to the fake part :p

lets just hope they don't go to the same place "screamer" went. Hope I'm wrong, but I just cannot that see DC has enough low usage users to help them recover costs.

Doubt it Screamer never really managed to get off the ground and called it quits before they damaged their network any further. DC managed to get everything sorted and like they say "No news is good news". Let's just wait and see, there are other ISP's out there but none that are as good as DC...

They will and their time is coming, wither people want to except it or not. DC you can't be bothered to provide customer feedback, why people stick with you is beyond my understanding. However at your rate you will not last until the end of the year!

it just don't make financial sense to have a lot of 30+ gig users a month and next to no "mom and pop" users. Would actually love what their average per user currently is.

Maybe I'm just overly optimistic but I don't see DC going away any time soon. They invested too much to pull out now, who knows how big their user base is, could be huge could be big enough to sustain them. If DC was doing badly I think we would of heard about it by now.

That I agree with, must always phone or guess what is wrong, just some notifications of network outages etc would be great.

Edit.

But the problems experienced the last while, was never related to DC, but to Seacom. But still notification would have been nice

We stick with them because no-one provides the same level of 384kb service they do. DC might have had a rough patch at the start but take a second to read this thread and all the mweb/afrihost/everything else threads. Isn't it surprising how there are barely ANY complaints at all as of late?

While I can't argue about sustainability I can say I am ABSOLUTELY getting my money's worth in downloads and I think most of the lads here would agree.

Why do I stay with DC?

Stats for May:

Uploaded: 3 096 109 392
Downloaded: 95 252 754 651
Total Combined: 98 348 864 043

. . . . :D

Tell me did I break the record for 384k user downloads? :p

P.S You can easily add 2-5 gigs more! There was only a few days that I didn't reach 3 gigs per day, including when DC was down. :)

That is downloading 24/7 No stops , no interruptions on 384K

It's pretty close to 24/7, I play PS3 games online on my Telkom account so I have to stop my downloads every now and then.
I've been going all out this month and I'm going to take break from Digichilli when my month is up because majority of the TV shows I've been downloading have finished and there isn't alot I still need to download, "wow I can't believe I just said that".
It is going to be strange going back to my Telkom 3gig cap, I may just find myself running back to Digichilli Sooner rather than later, lol.

P.S. Digichilli is Awesome.

There a major diffrence for you between digichilli and telkom when playing online?

Lol my 5 minutes of fame crushed :( But nice stats Prophet :D

I'd also like to know how gaming is vs Telkom - I know BFBC2 locally is perfect :)
