My international torrent are getting slow .. about 5kB, about 40min ago it was 30kB/s

Torrents still flying @ 40kb on my 512k line. +7kb extra on my other pc on the same line so 47kb total give or take a few.

Packet information on the TCP/IP protocol.... it ends up being 17% of any TCP/IP network speed. This is why on a 100Mbps LAN you only get 10MBps, max 12...

Packet information on the TCP/IP protocol.... it ends up being 17% of any TCP/IP network speed. This is why on a 100Mbps LAN you only get 10MBps, max 12...

TCP/IP overhead is not 17%. PPPOE and ATM overhead is significant but that's only on your sync speed, not TCP speed.
TCP overhead (stock ethernet frames) is in the region of 5-8%

If rate limiting is applied at the IP level, then 256kbit/s will give you worst case 29KB/s and best case 31KB/s download speed.

i used a 30gb using webafica FULL SPEED ALL the time torrent fine nzb fine http fine perfect now if only it was uncapped i would jump straight to it

I jumped across to my prepaid Axxess account and now, back on the digichilli account, I realise how it really is

My steam update fluttered briefly on 4kb/s, then 2kb/s, then 1kb/s and now dead.
