Does anyone have experience buying from digikey.co.za? I was about to order something from them (Prices quoted in ZAR, no indication of overseas origin, "free shipping"), when the following popped up:

Your order will ship UPS Worldwide Saver
Incoterms:‏ CPT (Duty, customs, and taxes due at time of delivery)

So I assume that means I am in for a customs surprise when the item arrives, or do they cover the import costs?

I ordered a Raspberry Pi 3 last year from arrow.com for about $23 discounted and it came to be DDP - Delivery Duty Paid. Another $30 order also came DDP. Both times they covered the costs and I only paid for the item at checkout.

Arrow.com have since updated shipping with DDP only applicable to EU. My DS1054Z at 30% discount shipped to me around R3600 but incoterms DAP (Delivered at place) which places another R1028 on me to cover VAT and clearance fees with Fedex. I had been hoping it was still DDP when I made the purchase, the spiralling Rand/$ and the steep discount made it a hasty buy.

According to Incoterms CPT < DAP < DDP and you will incur the import costs and any insurance, port charges as well.
