I wasn’t clear. But it’s still good to know. Hopefully the discount from the bank side is per calendar year.

Yea I think it’s free now. The earn rate is very low. It can be from 1-6.66% in miles. Therefore 0.1-0.666% in rand value back.

It’s a shame they dropped the multiplier. Maybe it will come back this year.

Earn rate for Miles seems to be based on transaction date and not the date it clears so should have been reset for all transaction from 01/01 already

Referring to the spend threshold I would imagine. Ie 15,000 for plat or 25,000 for black.

Please explain,what do you mean it's returned to normal?

When you reach a cumulative spend level of R25,000 in a month your Miles earn rate is limited to 1% on any transaction incurred after hitting R25,000 (compared to 6.66% on transactions before reaching R25,000 if you are on Diamond status and black suite).

I also suspect that the R25,000 changes depending on what account you have(?), so does the 6.66%.

The 1% earn rate resets to 6.66% (in my example) on the 1st of each month.
