When I battle to make my weekly goal I load money onto a WW gift card in R50 increments. Bit of a schlep but it does the trick. I also pay subscriptions like Vodacom by card rather than debit order. What really helps is the fact that anything in excess of your goal carries over to the next week, making it easier to achieve.
Why the R50 increments? Can't I just load the full goal amount?

I think you need to read rules on how the money goals work. It’s on the app. It’s fairly simple.

That explains it.

The app is kak so waste of time tbh.

Will probably switch to Ebucks when my gym contract ends.

Currently you can settle it, but then the benefit falls away. Apparently they're working on the ability to transfer money into the phone account (it's a new account that gets created on your bank home screen), effectively reducing the amount owing but not affecting the benefit.
So how do you do this in practice do I go to Woolworths get a gift card and then hold up the queue as I swipe 20 times?

Does the cashier understand the process - I don't want to lose my temper with incompetent staff (kind of why I EFT and debit order everything.)

Humans tends to tire me out.

I don't usually do more than one at a time, so no holding up the queue. I also don't need to get my full 25 from 'fake swipes' since I use my card quite a lot. It's only for when I need to spend money to close my ring and can't think of anything else to buy. The WW gift card is convenient since I use it to pay for all my 'unhealthy food items' and don't get penalised by Discovery.

Can't the WW card (adding cash to the gift card) not be done online on the WW web-site (don't have a WW card, so do not know) ?

You can buy gift cards online but I don’t see the option of adding funds to an existing WW gift card. If online spend is preferable, loot and Takelot offer account top ups. Amazon too but then you pay a currency conversion fee.

Does that work?
IE will that help me reach my goal?

20 x R50 (R1000) per month is fine.

Or is that 20 x R50 per week in which case Discovery can go fck themselves. Encouraging people to spend money and then pretending to be a do-good bank is pure evil.

Yes it will work. Sadly it’s per week though.

Has anyone disputed data from credit agencies. I went on pulse and one of the factors/pointers I can improve upon is to increase the duration of my credit card. It looks like they just see my new discovery bank credit card but does not see my old discovery credit card which I had for years and they treat it as two separate products. My credit score isn’t wrecked because of this but I guess it could be better.

Just to be clear, if I take the iPhone is this the goal I need to meet each week?
No you can skip 1 in a month. Need to reach 11 goals in a month, which is active, drive and bank, the max for a month is 12 goals.

Oh Okey so not just bank.

Because the active rewards I get (gym visit plus actual gym)

The bank, I'll never spend that much on the card so won't ever get that. I have 50k in the Vitality savings account so should be good on that goal.

Any other bank goal they might throw?

I don't have a drive product.

No that's it, but to get the max discount you need reach the drive goal also. The bank goal stays the same at 20, the gym one increase overtime, after a while you wont reach goal for even going to gym 7 times a week.

Mmmm...

Looks to me it would be safer to buy the phone cash?

I think the hardest is the drive goals because it’s impossible to reach it when you overseas. The other two type of goals are fairly easy to reach wherever you are in the world.

Yes as you also pay interest also on the money owed so if you do not reach the goals it is best to buy cash.

If you get iphone 11 and you reach all the goal estimates payment is R95, if you only reach 8 goals of the 11 it is R575. I am only silver status with black card.
