I think for the extra 25% you need the transactional account or the suite. I just have a cc and the vitality savings account so maybe that's why I didn't get my gym booster ,even though I boosted a while back.unless you only need that suite or transactional ACC from the 1st oct

Nope me neither but I do see on the website it says I am getting 75% back, and can boost with bank for 100%. I am really hoping this doesn't mean normal gym booster is gone.
Its is falling away, but you can check on app under booster if it is active.

Yeah I know it was failing away was hoping they would tell me its been discontinued and I need to change it. I didn't want to activate the bank version prematurely as it seems like way more hoops to jump though.

I expected too much of discovery to actually tell me the health gym booster is now finished.

Says I get 75% on the app after getting 100% for like 3 years.

Heads up for anyone interested in the iPhone benefit: I activated my benefit in the week since I’m now comfortably achieving all my goals. I thought I’d try and take the most expensive phone I can get for free (iPhone 11), then go back with the unopened device and exchange it for the one I want (iPhone 11 Pro Max) and pay in the difference. I wanted to avoid paying interest on the R9k price difference over 24 months. According to the benefit guide this can be done, but EXCHANGES ARE NOT POSSIBLE. It turned into a 2-day exercise for them to deactivate and reactive the benefit. I’m paying the interest for now, but am told that I will be able to transfer the difference into the budget facility soon.

At least you tried to get the program to match up with your requirements.

Yea I saw on the terms and condition they state you can’t exchange it. I hope they can update the monthly benefit rebate because currently I’m on a black cc. Upgrading to a suite so I should be able to my whole monthly payment rebated.

Are the rings supposed to update in real time? I’ve already got 300 for my exercise ring and 8 for my money ring for today, but it doesn’t reflect. Also spent way more than R7,5k this month already... Not sure if there’s a delay or if there’s another logged call in my near future?

It only updates when you make the goal. The spend goal only started today on your cycle, unless you spent R7500 today?

Thanks for that. No I haven’t spent that much today, swiped for R2k this morning so that should have updated though? I’ll give it a day or two and call them if it doesn’t update. Thought it would take my spend for November into account.

Do you have the minimum amount required in a savings account?

I do, money ring wouldn’t move if I didn’t... The fact that it only updates when you achieve your goal makes sense. No use in seeing half a ring on that page. And I’m guessing today’s spend isn’t there because it hasn’t cleared yet.

Did you take iPhone 11 pro and how much is your monthly payment after achieving all goals, since maximum discovery will pay is 715 for black suite and still with iPhone 11 at 16999 you pay 83 rand every month as additional payment

I don't get the spending reward I've already spent 20k on EFTs this month yet they say I haven't.

I took the 11 Pro Max fro R23,999. My monthly payment is R1162 (will hopefully be on diamond money status soon so a bit less then) of which Discovery will fund up to R715. So I'm paying a minimum of R447pm out of my own pocket. I'm not keen on paying interest on this though, so will settle the balance as soon as that option is available. Proceeds from the sale of my old iPhone X should cover it, so essentially it's still a free iPhone.

Can you pay the phone off sooner?

When I battle to make my weekly goal I load money onto a WW gift card in R50 increments. Bit of a schlep but it does the trick. I also pay subscriptions like Vodacom by card rather than debit order. What really helps is the fact that anything in excess of your goal carries over to the next week, making it easier to achieve.

Currently you can settle it, but then the benefit falls away. Apparently they're working on the ability to transfer money into the phone account (it's a new account that gets created on your bank home screen), effectively reducing the amount owing but not affecting the benefit.
