Discovery Vitality [2017]

.. I suppose I'd better just do another 300-pointer tomorrow which would get me to my goal anyway.....

When I had an issue... this was by far the easier route than dealing with discovery.

You do have to delink on your old phone. No need to uninstall the app.

So this seems to have worked. I unlinked the watch to the Garmin Connect app on both the old and new phones, then re-linked it only on the new phone. Got my 300 points for this morning's HR workout. Whew!

Indeed. And it made me do another workout, which can never be a bad thing.... Not really bothered now about the other workout that didn't reflect.

Hi guys

The app shows my workouts are synced but it's not showing any points since 27th of May. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

@milan188, there is a limit of 1000 pts per year for 5000 steps workouts, looks like you have reached that limit...

Yes I'm aware of that. But yesterday I did a 300 point workout and the day before I walked 10 000+ steps

Well I gave input based on the evidence in your post, there was no indication of a 300 pt workout or 10,000+ steps logged ;)

I do the same with screenshots, but I need to access my Ster Kinekor card.

Had a smoothie reward to redeem and i wanted a R55 wrap but the app was acting up and not displaying any of my active rewards. :erm: Will have to go twice before Wednesday now to redeem, oh well...

Still looking for a dusty i-gotU HRM-10 if anyone has one in the cupboard.

Tx

Hi guys

Does anyone here have the issue with SHealth speed data no longer syncing with the DiscoveryApp? This started to happen about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I tried everything (restarting, uninstalling apps, delinking). My speed data definitely qualifies for 100 points.

This kind of sucks as I was really pushing hard to get to gold status.

Anyone else having S-health sync issues again? No points for yesterday even though I did over 15k steps, and only given me 50 points for today with over 10k steps. My wife's isn't showing anything for yesterday either.
I have synced numerous times and even unlinked and relinked, without any luck.

Hi. I got a Gear Fit 2 recently with hopes to get 300 points a shot for my spinning classes. Recording the workout as 'exercise bike' has not pulled the heart rate data through to Vitality (been in touch with their support). Any one had any luck tracking a vigorous workout (but not running) with a Gear Fit 2 and syncing the heart rate to Discovery?

Some exercises don't track HR, but I just tried "Excercise Bike" on my wife's GearFit 2 and it tracks HR just fine. The watch doesn't sync to Discovery directly, you have to sync the watch to SHealth on your phone, which you then sync to Discovery app. Just covering the obvious basics first.

I completely forgot one could earn 300 pts by doing 70% of max HR for 1 hour. Achieved this by accident today when i let my H7 workout run over the hour whilst standing at Kauai...
To earn up to 300 Vitality points:

Track 30 minutes of vigorous physical activity in one exercise session a day at a minimum average heart rate of more than 80% of your age-related heart rate.
Track 60 minutes of moderate physical activity in one exercise session a day at a minimum average heart rate of more than 70% and less than 80% of your age-related heart rate.

What's the easiest way to check what points you earned from fitness activities vs non-fitness activities? I'm trying to ascertain how much of the 30k annual fitness limit in points I have used up.

edit: Nevermind, looking back i know i got 20,000 for health check tests and 5,000 for HIV test, so I can estimate that I've gotten around 10k points for fitness stuff so far this year.

Mmmm, it used to be quite straightforward as under the breakdown per member they used to have the different categories as well, but that's nowhere to be found.

The only way I found out that I have exhausted my fitness points for the year was when I noticed my total points no longer increases for fitness activities, but I do get the points for Vitality Rewards. It prompted me to go into 'tracking points' and there it said limits already reached.

https://www.discovery.co.za/portal/individual/vitality-points shows your points per category for the year.
