Discovery Vitality [2017]

Hi, am a 100% consistent points achiever , looking for similar team member.

Anyone having issues linking Garmin Connect to the Discovery app on Android? I have tried 2 different phones I get a message saying "Could not retrieve this information" when I click on Garmin under "Link devices and apps".

Why not just connect your Garmin Connect Account, to your vitality account online, then you don't have issues when the discovery app is misbehaving.

Thank you, that worked. Initially thought it had to be done on the app.

Can anyone recommend a heart rate strap that can be shared by 2 people I.e. they both sync with their phone, use an app, and get vitality points?

I'm interested in trying out this vitality team thing(who doens't want extra smoothies?), been achieving all my goals so far...so anyone who has a spot for me pm me. :D

So I am a bit confused about how Team Vitality works.

It seems that you form your own team and just add other people to it? I can add four people and they in turn can add me and three other people in their team. So one could technically be in four teams?

Correct, technically you are in 4 seperate teams. If you and 2 other team mates make target, then you get an extra smoothie. So for example, my wife, a friend and I all make target, and then we all get 2 smoothies for the week.

Yes, but as far as your own goals and rewards are concerned, only the team view that you see matters.

Mostly correct. You have your own team, the guys in your team isnt per say in the same team, each of them form their own team again.

Any one of them

So if trying to connect 2 phones to the HRM, once the first person is connected to the HRM with their phone, does it just disallow the second person from connecting?

This almost sounds like cheating.

I doubt any bluetooth heart rate belt will allow 2 simultaneous connections to it. It can connect to 2 cellphones sure, but not at the same time. The ANT+ based ones, maybe but I don't know how that protocol really work.

Agree with StrontDog...sounds like cheating, and ps. Discovery will pick that up instantly, as mentioned by them in an article on moneyweb.co.za

And then as a knee jerk response they will only accept data from wrist based heart rate monitor.
