Hi guys. I have a Garmin Ant+ Heart Rate monitor. It's brand new still sealed in the box. pm me for more info

Out of interest sake, after doing the Vitality Health Checks, they only gave me bonus points for 4 out 5 checks. Not that I will need the points, I still complained asking why.

First respondent, after 3 weeks of waiting, said all checks are in place and gave me a whole table of what the criteria is instead of directly answering the question. That said, I noticed it had the words "Reading of x/x or less" so I asked them why I didn't get the points as I am on it, although not less. Next day I received an email and they fixed the points to passing 5 out of 5 checks.

Always had my systolic reading higher than the the suggested or on the edge, but the diastolic would always be far below the bad value. Have even been to the doctor in the past about the readings and concerns from the vitality health checks, and he said it is fine as is.

Anyways, from reading, with my diastolic reading on 70 already, I shouldn't try and lower the systolic reading too much, because that could also cause problems. Generally I dont have any health issues, eat fairly healthy and exercise so as long as the readings stay where they are I should be good.

10x Miles is effectively 6% isn't it?

Anybody having issues with invalid smoothie vouchers/codes for their Active Rewards?

I had 2 codes that failed at Kauai yesterday afternoon (both generated then in the app) - tried scanning the QR code & manually entering the wiCode. Received the one last week and the other one yesterday, so they haven't expired. Do I need to contact Discovery to get new ones??

I had. Emailed them and they called back confirming they had an issue. Provided me with replacement code

...snip...
Lost points on cholesterol test again this year for being over the limit, i must remember to get it lower for next year!

When i did the detailed test through Pathcare last year, the Cardiologist that looked at the results said i had the best LDL to HDL ratio he had ever seen, or something along those lines. Stupid Discovery....

I think the detailed test would be too expensive for discovery to offer for free. Maybe send Discovery an email with your results and see what they say. It's worth a shot

What? That's insane? Where did you see this?

you have to dig a bit in the terms and conditions:

We combine your claims category and Discovery Card average spend for the last 3 months, and use the below table to determine your Travel Booster.

If you send the detailed results to Discovery, they will give you the points if each individual indicator is within their acceptable range (I can't recall what those numbers are). So if your overall number is high because your HDL is pulling it high, and they see that your LDL, HDL and Triglycerides are all within range, you'll get the points. I've done this in the past. Of course, they don't pay for the detailed test.

You can ask Clicks/Dischem to do a more detailed cholesterol test while doing your basic health check; they will charge you. Plus, it seems their machine has a maximum level for the HDL reading (>2.58 is all it says) and you have to calculate the LDL number from the other three numbers - which none of the nurses I've done the check with, have known how to do (see http://www.hughcalc.org/chol-si.php). So maybe best to do a full blood test through a lab.

Looks correct to me. Once it's April, those 3 from March '16 will be subtracted from your total

Can you clarify it for me. I hit 36 visits in a 12 month rolling period (March to March). I joined mid March. Prior to me leaving the country at the end of Feb, my app stated 36/36.

From April, your 12 month rolling period will exclude visits from March '16, so those 3 visits from that month won't count anymore
