Hey,
Anyone figure out how to link Samsung S-Health via IOS to Vitality? The App runs fine and logs data with FIT2 PRO, but no way to sync the data :(

Have you tried this:

How do I link my Samsung Health app?
Ensure that your Android smartphone has the Samsung Health app installed.
Log into the Discovery app and select Samsung Health from the list of devices under the Devices and apps section.
Choose the data that you would like to share with Vitality and then confirm your connection.
Once you have successfully linked your Samsung Health app click on Done. The Samsung Health app will appear under the list of linked devices and apps.
If you have any problems importing your workout data, please visit Samsung Health for more information.

View the points table under Earn Vitality points below. Please note that Samsung Health only records step data. Vitality will only award points for data types that your specific device model or app tracks. If you link your Samsung Gear Watch via the Samsung Health app you can also earn points for heart rate and speed.

Obviously you are not using a Android phone (highlighted above), so not sure if it will work.

Wow ok, so now the card is pointless unless you join the Discovery Miles programme.

I didn't know this. Maybe I should cancel my card?

It now gives me nothing useful.

EDIT: Oh flip, I did the calculations.

You earn 1 mile per R15 spend, and each mile is worth 10c. Therefore, your earn rate is 0.666% in Rand value. 0.666% of your spend is converted into Miles.

Now, for those shops that have the miles multiplier thing, you can get up to 10x your miles depending on your status. So, 6.666% for shops like Nandos. This is a drastic reduction from 20%.

Heck, for online shopping, my FNB private clients card gets me 5%. Okay, the amount will be limited, but still. That is for all online shops everywhere.

The problem with the Discovery card is that it gets less useful every year while you still pay that fee.

EDIT 2:

Just want to confirm something before I cancel. You do not need a Discovery card to get the HealthyFood cashback right?

Nope, I've never had a Discovery Card and I've always received HealthyFood and HealthyGear cashback, but you do need specific cards for those.

Sure, hence my reference to IOS which is Apple. The S-Health apps run on the Apple, but will not link to Vitality, ergo, the problem is with Vitality. But they have such blinkers on that they do not comprehend the issue. Well, the support desk anyway - and they simply work off a script! All the other Activity trackers are listed, so there is another agenda here.

Agreed, for me I've found it useless for the last 2 years and I still haven't cancelled but really now this is the last straw!

I have my old PnP healthyfood card lying around, though i never shop there anymore but Woolies is my 25% primary healthyfood partner and with them my store card serves as a link to my healthyfood profile and cashbacks.

Cancelling the discovery credit card will then result in your cashbacks being paid to another account of your choosing. In my case I'd have to check if the old PnP healthyfood card is still good to use.

Don't you need the card for other discovery inducements such as 'free' apple watch, etc? Something else to consider for those thinking of cancelling

Quick question, my Vitality Active Rewards goal is 900. Did a run this morning (and two other runs this week) and got my points up to 800. Seeing that today is the last day to get points and I already did exercise this morning, will it be possible to do another session this afternoon, perhaps just a 30 min walk to get the remaining 100 points?

Nope, only highest point exercise event gets recorded.
