Discovery Vitality [2018]

Since they started the spin rewards I have only got one pick n pay R100 all others have been core rewards.

Now I see I have it with my discovery insurance , if only they can get their goal streak weeks correctly, it keeps adjusting every week and can't get a spin tho I've achieved every week of event free driving
 
Longest streak is 24, only recieved core rewards with all my spins :(
 
I reached my Goal of 500 pts last week (100 points (of 500) was the visit on Friday 29th) to the Gym.
yesterday. Goal was not met as they didn't include the Friday 100 pts so I missed out on Normal Reward and Surprise Reward and Reward (made it 3 weeks in a row).

How do I get Discovery to fix it up?
 
Virgin Active special for Vitality members this month. Activation fee is like R1400 less

Checked the fine print and can't make.out if it also.applies to current vitality meme era who also have a gym membership that is not vitality linked, e.g. I joined gym in March but didn't link it to vitality. Would I pay the 799 or the 2k

Well you need to submit proof that you did go to gym that day. Perhaps request the data from Virgin Active?

See prior posts its only if you join vitality and the gym in July or August.
I was happy with discovery I met the requirements however the charged me full price when i joined. I logged a complaint and got refunded within a week.

My SO is already on Vitality and joined the gym this month for the discounted fee.

Is anyone having issues with the goal streak for vitality drive insurance? I keep achieving my goal streak but never get my free spin, the goal dates keep adjusting without getting the spin.
 
We should ask discovery to publish the winners of the people that don’t win core awards plus 100 voucher . I reckon there is only core awards and 100 voucher
 
So I am sure most of you are now well on your way to gold/diamond. Me and the wife did the health day and fitness day a bit late but its done now and we only have a few thousand points to go, which should be do-able.

Anyways, since ebucks have earning caps now, I found myself looking to get the bit extra somewhere else.

Anyone on this thread that is well versed in the Discovery Card? There are a few things I want to double check.

1. On this page: https://www.discovery.co.za/credit-card/about-discovery-card
I see that at the end of the year, you can convert 50% of your vitality points to miles. So for me, that is 90 000 points, should become 45 000 miles? Sort of like R4500?

2. That is, 10 miles = R1? from https://www.discovery.co.za/credit-card/discovery-miles

3. From https://www.discovery.co.za/credit-card/discovery-card-benefits-to-suit-you
Gold card is R59 per month, capped to earning 5000 miles per month
Platinum card is R90 per month, capped to earning 10 000 miles per month
To activate miles for the year is R432


So going by those 3 points, I can get a gold card, which will cost R708 for the year and R432 for miles.
So even without using the card at all, I should have gained R4500 in miles, which means I should already be up at R3360 for the year?

This is not meant to be my main reward program, but an addition to ebucks, considering I already have been on diamond status for I think over 5 years.
 
Yes you can get 50% of tour points back in miles however I must caution you its quite unlikely you will get 50% back. To get 50% back you need to be diamond. Hardly claim from your discovery medical aid depending on your plan. And spend an avg of 25k per month. Points are allocated yearly around Feb. This year there was an error and I got 100% of my points to miles but if it wasn't for that I would of gotten like 25-30% back in miles.

With regards to miles its true most of the time 10 miles is 1 rand. However if you have a lump sum retirement with discover you can get a boast of 400%. Ie if you put in 10 miles your lump sum bonus will grow to R4 depending on your plan.

With regards to credit I would choose the platinum. Because your maximum earn rate of platinum is 10000 miles a month whereas gold is 5000. I wished I upgraded to platinum cause most months I get capped now.
