Who here is considering changing their transactional accounts from traditional bank to Discovery Money?
What are the benefits?
What are the benefits is the question we all asking, other than some variable fee that changes based on unknown variables and possible points based on unknown criteria, we pretty much have no info.

FNB literally pays me R600 to R800 every month in eBucks for my R200 bank fee.

Unless discovery is going to give me at least that instead of just a kak cup of coffee every week at best, again, unknown criteria, unknown costing structure unknown benefits.

Not to mention that if Thier current service in the medical aid and vitality departments is anything to go buy, the quality is service will rival that of the ANC, what's a point in a bank, when the only way to get help is to deal with someone who thinks 1+1=11.

Exactly the same as @CranialBlaze

Taking a wait and see approach. As it is, I get more like R1500 out of ebucks before banking fees.
Discovery's support is terrible.
Their website/app is many times slow and buggy.

Unless you are already a Discovery Card customer, I don't see why you would want to bank with them. I for one are anything but excited about their banking product.

Companies should stop saying "We are going to release this awesome product", and rather go "Look here is our new awesome product!", as in, tell us when its available, otherwise I really dont have any interest.

does the vitalty drive week also end on a Friday?

Mine only started working Wednesday do don't have 100km yet :(

Took around 7 calls, and 2 months to get it working.
I upgraded my android phone to the latest software(9.0) and now some of my trips don't record, says my phone was not present yet when I drove I checked and it says currently recording your trip. I don't get it, had no issues before..

Vitality Drive support when tracking the phone is terrible (based on my experience). I was in a smash and grab and had to replace my phone with a cheap Xiaomi. It worked for two months before they updated the app and I had the same problem with recording trips.

When I reported it to Discovery, it took them a while to respond and then, it was pretty much a big fat FU saying "well, it's your fault for getting a phone that isn't on our supported phone list". When I mentioned that it was working prior to this latest update, I might as well be speaking to a bunch of crickets.

I've been using a Nokia 5 for last two years without any issues till I upgraded the Android software. I need to upgrade my contact and I asked them to send me a list of their compatible phones,it's a joke they have hardly any newer phones, barely have any Huawei phones, because of some battery issue. I don't know if I should rather get the DQ device installed in my car rather?

They sent me an email with a procedure on what to do to make the trips record correctly on Android 9. See attached. View attachment android-app-hibernation-instructions.pdf

Woolies vouchers are back
#$%$%@(*^^% Missed them!
OK, all you smart programmer-types out there.... write an app that will alert the user when there are Woolies vouchers. I'd be willing to pay R5 once-off for such a thing ;-)

I already had a discovery credit card, what happens now that discovery bank has opened? Do I need to apply for a new card or does life just go on?

Anyone activate a device booster costing more than R4000? I just want to know if the healthy gear cash back up to 25% is based on the purchase price or is it capped at R4000.

I have purchased a device worth much more. You get a maximum of R4000 back. So in the 1st month I got back R1000. I purchased the device on the 22nd and got the cashback on the 27th, which was nice. Only expected it the next month. (Remember, if you are only a single member on your Vitality policy, that part gets capped at R500.)

Your device must be priced at R5333.33 to get the max R4000 back. If the device is priced at R4000, you will only get a total of R750 + (24xR83.33) = R3000 back.

Edit: The maximum monthly cashback is only R83.33, whenever you buy a device of R4000+.

Does anyone know where to find how much money you are getting back on healthy food?
Ive searched the site but cant find it anymore.

Also I see the gym booster benefit is moving over to money rewards from Discovery Bank. So to get 100% back on gym you will need a discovery bank account.

Now I am getting back R125 pm, if I meet all my goals. So after 24 months it should add up to a total of R4000.

Does this help?
Yes, thanks. From the second month onwards are you not supposed to get a maximum of R83.33?

No, on 4k.you get 1k back that or next month and then after the 3k.over 24m.

Anything over 4k they completely ignore.
