How do you manage to get these points every week?

What if one is sick, it is actually just madness in my opinion. Or is it just me?
3x 30min runs at average of 80% of your max heart rate and you are done for the week.

Or what I'm doing now is: Parkrun Saturday, MyRun Sunday, minimum of 3 gym workouts in the remaining 5 days.

If you are sick you pay(Boosters/Apple Watch targets missed) or lose out on rewards.
It isn't easy for the average person to achieve and Discovery wants you working to improve.
They even make your fitness week start on a Saturday so that you cant coast during the week and then realise that you didnt work hard enough and then try maximize your points on the weekend.

After reading a bit on the thread, i did yeah. Did the Vitality age, and now the booster is back it seems.

Doubt ill be getting the 25% back on that purchase.
Did you activate the booster only after the purchase? You may miss it then?

My booster was active since the beginning of last year already, the purchase i made was on the 24th December 2018, and i know it has been active as I've received cash back for my purchases at Sportsmans warehouse all through the year, so its a mess up somewhere with vitality.

Same issue here. No good driving points for December and under Vitality Awards the app has "Previous goal: Pending 0.0 consecutive event-free km" - except in the Insure app it shows that I hit goals. This is quite irritating as it would have knocked me up a level.
They really need to sort this out ASAP

Makes sense then. They seem to have missed some cash backs as well.

Apparently there is a difference between healthy gear (the initial 25%) and the booster which is the monthly goal based payment.

They did confirm the initial payments were all missed for Gear. They weren't sure if the booster monthlies were missed. I didn't get one though

It’s fairly easy. The trick is not to leave it on the last minutes. Weekend runs helps allot a. I’m on my 60th goal streak. I know some people on their 100th.

The quickest is the 30min workout at 80% of max heart rate = 300pts.

Since I know that I will not reliably drag myself to gym or park runs, especially in winter, I invested in a fairly decent treadmill in lieu of a gym membership and just got into the habit of running for 30mins every day, monitoring on an Apple Watch while I watch Netflix on the tablet. It's not entirely unpleasant. You just have to monitor your heart rate and keep pushing a bit to keep it over the threshold.

It's quite easy when using a device to measure your heart rate.

My mindset is on the fitness and not the hoops that you have to jump through for discovery. I was exercising anyway so I might as well take advantage of the benefits that Vitality offer.

My formula last year was simple (Achieved 52/52 goals @ 900 points per week. Taking it a bit easier this year, however).

1. ParkRun Saturday (300 points)
2. Spinning session Sunday (300 points)
3. A 30min run (300 points)

So, for me, i either do a Parkrun on a Saturday morning, for 300 points, then 100 everyday after that, either steps or gym visits.

Or, i do 2, 200 points at gym during the week, with HR over 70%(Somewhere around there) and then 100 points for 10k steps or gym visits.

I do make mine mostly, been slacking somewhat in Nov/Dec, but, getting back into it now.

The thing is, the points get to that amount because you've managed to get it to 900, so the fact that you got it to 900, means you can do it.

The only way for it to become less is, if you dont reach that goal for a total of 2-3 months if im not mistaken, then it starts going down by 50 points? (Somebody will have to vouch on that, im not too sure)

Cool it was how I was thinking I would do it too.

I wish I could parkRun on a saturday :/ I start work at 08:30 most saturdays so If parkrun were at 07:00 it would be absolutely AWESOME!

But WRT being sick I mean like the flu or so, you technically aren't allowed to excercise while you are sick so it kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion, but I am preaching to the choir here.

The points are easy if you are cardio inclined, for guys who do weights, its much harder to keep a high average heart rate.
Personally, I find if I start with a fairly intensive 10-15mins on the treadmill to get my heart rate up to threshold, then it stays up until 30mins if I do push ups/weights etc as long as it's strenuous enough. If it starts dropping too much then I just climb back on the treadmill.

If you are sick and have a doctor note, they will give you a reprieve with no penalty. Someone I know has a 2 Year streak, IE since vitality rewards started. He had flu one week and was signed off and the discovery allowed it.

Because last weeks goal was spread across the end of last year, and the beginning of this year, my points for December 29th - 31st have not been calculated.

Anyone else experiencing this? It means I didn’t hit my goal last week.
