Discovery Vitality in 2016

Thanks - I linked my profile.
Can you confirm that Vitality will awards points for runs done with the Runkeeper app even if I don't use a heart rate monitor.

Yes you will still receive points when syncing your data automatically. Make sure your runs are longer than 30 mins though! :)

I'm thinking maybe I should change my plan for next year.

Anyone knows what the new fees for virgin active will be? From next year will it be 75% discount to go to one club(currently 80%) premier discount is Currently it's 60% discount.

Has anyone claimed their active reward yet?

Yep I actually got 2 this week, one for activating Rewards and one for hitting my weekly target. 500 points is going to be a breeze since it's my base level of gym use anyway. Those smoothies were gooooood.

And it's just some random code you give to the teller or what? Will be trying tomorrow at the Kauai in the gym.

Sounds like the target is somehow based on what you currently do - last week my target was 150, now it is 200. It better not get to some ridiculous level after a while

It came up on my Discovery app as a reward. Then I set it to do a Kauai drink and it created a virtual card that I showed. But basically it was a code that they entered from the screen so as long as you have that I think it'll be good.

Any suggestions on how to link my TomTom Multisport device to Vitality without having to manually upload each workout file?

Link it to MapMyFitness, and on the Discovery Vitality page, you can link to a device, and MapMyFitness is what they connect to. Unless they bugger up your profile, and the two don't talk to each other (mine hasn't been fixed after 6 months...)

Same here......

I've installed the Discovery App on my iPhone as well as the Moves app. I have linked the two by using the code supplied on the Discovery website. Note: I have tracking currently OFF

Do I need to have that ON? Im finding that the locations services are constantly on, which is killing my battery (even with the high accuracy option disbaled).

Could someone help out? I know you guys are clued up

Everyone with a windows device should just make some noise, hopefully it will encourage them to get it done

Or even to have it work in a browser would be nice... If you're on IOS 7 (iphone 4) then that version of the app doesn't have the new rewards stuff.

Got 3 out of 4 friends added as well now, and all 3 should always hit their goals :D
Funny how excited we get for even the smallest "free" stuff :p

Free smoothies are a game changer bro.

Hmm I just noticed that next week's goal has been pushed up to 550 points. I hope they don't keep shifting the goalposts indefinitely. I have a routine.

It is one of the worries in my group as well. Where will the goals end? If you are just a regular gym member the highest can reach is 1050 with 7 gym visits. So what to do if your goals go above that?

I activated mine and my goal is already 600. :wtf

At the end of the day Vitality is a money making scheme(look at their results if you dont believe me).Like politicians distort truth they make these programs complicated to quietly screw you over as you dont understand all the benefits ...Ebucks same

I think they should set targets on how active you should be rather than keep creating goals? surely the goals are going to reach a point that are not attainable? What about a good fitness routine, where do you go from that from week 1 to week 8?
