Discovery Vitality in 2016

Nobody will be in business to make a loss.
However you need to look at your personal situation to see if it benefits you.
Vitality fee I basically get back with the discount in gym fees. The other benefits are secondary, although I saved R2k on an international flight this year.
Ebucks is a completely different story, the only additional effort we needed to put in with the new rules is to dip into overdraft for one day to maintain the highest reward level, with the previous rules the was nothing extra required.
The overdraft fee is around R40, the amount of ebucks ranges from R1k - R2k & with 40% discounted makro vouchers we have managed to save lots while accelerating purchases of appliances, etc.

Agree with you but you on top of it like I am so works for me.My point is most people are not hence why they make it complicated or try too many programs instead of sticking with one

Damn, my points goal STARTED at 1200 a week...I hope that's the max!

That is retarded, no amount of rewards will motivate me to do 1200 a week (or many many other people for that matter). The only way for me to do that consistently would be to gym 6x per week with a heart rate monitor... Ya, I'll pass

This is what I suspected.

With my current schedule, the maximum weekly reward that I can get is 1750. That's 5xgym sessions for 750, plus 5x 30+min bike rides for 1000. I don't even come close to that much atm because it isn't necessary to track every single thing I do to get my smoothie (shouldn't the singular be smoothy?).

lol for 1 free coffee, no thanks! :)

Now. If I could strap a heart rate monitor to my dog, the 1200 would be easy to achieve. ;)

You only get credit for one session per day.

No you get credit for 1 session of the same kind per day. So gym (150) plus uploading 30min moderate (150) plus uploading vigorous exercise (50) all reflects on my activity for the 13th.

I hear you, but this is possibly a mistake. The Vitality FAQ and guidance are quite clear in this regard. "Vitality points will only be awarded for one fitness activity a day. If you complete two fitness activities in one day, then the higher points between the two will be awarded." Earlier during the year I picked up that I wasn't credited for activities on certain days, and received double credits (two different activities) for other days. I reported it and it was reviewed and fixed.

Do you have a link for that document?

There is a bit of a difference between normal Vitality points and the way that points for Active Rewards work. I'm seeing the same behaviour as Cerebus and the Active Rewards rules does not seem to contradict such.

I take your point, but I don't see this being specifically allowed in the Vitality Active Rewards Benefit Guide (here https://www.discovery.co.za/discove...les/vitality_active_rewards_benefit_guide.pdf ). It mentions the "daily points rules" on page 4, which I thought included the credit for one exercise per day only.
