Hi
I've just bought a Dlink DIR850L which I've connected to my ADSL router/modem in a lan to lan configuration. Should the internet light on the DLink be on (it only has an internet and power light)? The router cannot seem to sync with its time or firmware servers but is providing internet via Wifi to all connected devices. Should it not be able to detect the internet connection itself and show the active internet connection via its status light?
I've also connected my WD mycloud and Chromecast to it, the video playback via my phone (S6) casting the entire screen to Chromecast is really choppy, is the problem with the phone itself not having enough processing power to process the data coming from the Mycloud wirelessly and passing that onto the Chromecast? Does anybody else have a similar setup that works? The reason I cast my entire screen is because the Chromecast does not support a lot of the more common video formats (AVI & MKV).
