why full? Who cares if someone gets it? They have to self isolate and not be at work

I care as I've got comorbidities. Full as in isolation yes. At the almost starting point of our season.

If herd immunity is such a great plan, why not lead by example and start with yourself, friends and relatives. I mean Covid is not big deal right. Just get it and get it over with.

Oh wait, when you say "herd" you mean everyone else... right? ... riiiight.
Where did I say I am pro-herd immunity? You are grasping at straws. Have another cup of coffee bud..

The more you use a test designed to find a history of something and wilfully interpret the results as current status..... the more you will find what you want to.

Another point that is rarely, if ever discussed, I have only seen the Pandata group raise this point, a correctly positive PCR test if not setup correctly only indicates you were infected by the SARS-CoV2 virus at some point in the past.

Pointing out how science actually works makes you a crackpot that does not understand science these days.....

Julle stoute fokkertjies wou mos nie luister nie... Nou moet almal maar voel...

Level1 means more unemployment and starvation. There’s more honour in dying with the supposed flu and being able to provide for your family to your last breath than dying of starvation and disgrace hiding in your home

Enforcing the law isn't the job of law enforcement?

Whose job is it?
Thats thats the problem right there...there is no law enforcement...unless you are caught red handed...you can do as you please. There is no legal recourse in this country...But pay your TV License or else!

Th real problem we have is that people don't follow the rules. This is due to a combination of ignorance, arrogance and sadly a healthy dollop of spitefulness.

Considering the above, relaxing restrictions will not help. On the flip side, increasing restrictions more will be the final killer for many businesses.

Personally I agree with the alcohol ban. The people suip themselves into a stupor and then act like idiots. Not only does this increase the spread but also takes up hospital beds for stab wounds, accidents and the like. So the ban must stay.

I also think that they should temporarily close the borders. The tens of thousands of "brothers and sisters" (as the EFF so eloquently put it) can spend some more time in their respective neighbouring countries and the few tourists that will still venture into SA after hearing about the "SA strain" can go and holiday in Mexico.

I think as the holidays conclude and people venture home, we will still see 2 weeks or so of high numbers as those who managed to infect themselves by sharing public toilets in Hartenbos or licking the shame sheep's eyeball at the local shebeen start to show symptoms. Thereafter we should hopefully see things quiet down.

Let's be honest with one another here, this rock is overpopulated as it is. I was quietly hoping for an alien invasion just to bring back equilibrium but looks like Covid beat Mr Grey to it.

All the people who voted "end lockdown" - What do you suppose we do with the "no beds available in hospitals" situation?
The previous lockdown was, in the words of the government, in order to flatten the curve and allow the health system to put measures into place to cope with the upcoming surge in infections. How are further lockdowns going to improve the situation, given that the virus is still going to be with us, and implementation of a vaccine program seems a distant dream?
