The big Bang destroyed the aliens and then created Xenu, then Xenu created Androids that brought human cells to a flat earth where advanced chimpanzee like creatures developed the cells between the pillars of the Masonic Lounge....

No wait, I think I've got something mixed up here.

Just a bit unfortunately;...

You will pay for desecrating the great name of our Overlord Xenu!

Anything in a simulation is possible.

Well, for the creators yes, the rest would just be ai wondering around mindless, like all of us are now... but when we reach the point and can generate a universe and upload, we can give ourselves 'godmode' cheat codes and do whatever we like (pretty sure hefner was some lighty who was called for dinner so he disconnected)

Uh...yeah :wtf:.
It's actually Xeñu.

I disagree.

No. I do think aliens are more probable to exist than not but believe is a dumb word when discussing reality.

Less probable is that a intelligent alien species ever visited earth.

I disagree.

If thats correct its just more evidence I need for its a simulation, but its even worse, its a simulation on a potato machine running on lowest settings not capable of running more than one planet with life at a time... our overlord needs to upgrade his ram

Of course they do. It would be extremely arrogant for us humans and just overall foolish, to believe we are the only species in this universe.

I donno man. This whole concept of life being that inevitable first requires a person to define it. You could say life is a set of molecules with the ability to duplicate itself.

What if you found a planet with that and only that? Would you define it as life?

I tend to just follow the Biological definition of life. This includes homeostasis, being composed of cells, a metabolic process, growth, darwinian adaptation, the ability to reproduce and response to stimuli.

By that definition some molecules that can duplicate themselves are not alive.

Plenty of other species right here on earth, humans aren't the only ones.

Depends on what you mean by aliens.

Do I think there is life on other planets? I think it's entirely possible. With so many potentially suitable planets out there the odds of life springing up someone else seem good to me.

Do I think they come to Earth to molest cows and farmers in the Midwest of the United States? Nope.

Life has already been found on mars. It was mistaken back when the first rover landed but has been confirmed since. No, single celled spores does not equate to intelligent life. But life is life.

The problem with life is the time frame under which we fall and go extinct may not be be in the same period as what another neighboring species do on another planet.

I think we should be realistic about it. I find it hard to believe that over the decades, there were UFOs that crash landed on earth. You telling me, a species that's supposedly so advanced that they managed to achieve lightspeed CRASH LANDS on earth? Nah. So when I say I believe in aliens, I'm referring to life in general. Who knows, perhaps there are aliens on our level of intelligence as well.

Ya now that I re-read it, I made no sense. I guess when I was writing that comment, I was thinking of it in terms of a species on our level or higher.

Show me that intelligent life exists on this planet then I'll start to consider the possibility that it exists elsewhere in the universe.

We are probably the most advanced species in the universe, which explains why no other much more advanced life form has made contact with us.

Or,

We are probably the most immature species in the universe, which explains why no other much more advanced life form has made contact with us.
