They come to our offices once a month.

To answer the question though, no, not anymore. I actually have no reason not to.

I do donate other bodily fluids though, to my wife. Does that count?
 
I do not donate blood.

I have a genuine needle phobia. Any needle getting jabbed in any part of the human body makes me queasy and light headed. I've tried everything to get over it, but nothing seems to help.
 
You tried donating blood? I physically cringed watching needles going into anything for a long time, but after a few times of lying there with probably the fattest needles in the industry sipping blood from your arm I got over the most of it.

I used to faint when doing blood tests.

Chemo with 4 needles that and weeks of hospitals with drips changed that very quickly.

Now, I don’t even budge when getting a drip.

I don't think blood is directly transferred from the donar to the patient. The blood components separated screened for infections or drugs.
The doctor tells what's required for the patient.

Because then the greedy money-hungry behemeoth would have to pay, rather than make money for themselves.
 
People want to go in and out quickly, I am lucky, I drive a lot, so I just drop in when it is time. I use my calendar to add reminders. Long time ago, when names were written on the blood bag, someone's family was in hospital, and was receiving my blood, they contact me to say thank you for saving the person.
 
I'm a universal donor - Oneg - and I used to donate blood until I had a bad experience with a nurse who was angry with another nurse in the clinic and decided that was the perfect time to take my blood. She stabbed the needle in my arm and wiggled it around because she couldn't find the vein. If I could've unclenched my teeth and fingers from the pain I would've said/done something.

It's moot now, anyway. My veins have become too deep and there's too much scarring from previous donations.
 
I donate whenever SANBS comes to visit in our office park. So a few times a year . How does one know how many pints they have donated. Never bothered to count.

Tweeted discovery and SANBS about this even if to use the Discovery app to send push notifications about blood collections in the area. As you can imagine nothing happened.

look dude if you don't want to donate don't donate it doesn't make you a coward its a free choice i disagree but respect it., making up BS excuses that makes you a coward :cautious:
they ask what medication and if on the allowed list, they take your blood, if its like aspirin they take certain parts of the blood only if not on the allowed list they don't take.
I'm on BP meds and they take my blood i just advise them what Im on and if i recall the only thing is you must be on that medication for at least 4 week funnily enough the reason i picked up an issue with my Bp was cause of my blood donations.
