Yes, the 10000 km travel to work can be tiring but the working environment is way better than my previous employment.

Can't say yes because I'm not crazy about it, can't so no either because, well it's not that bad...

Being doing it for a little over 28 years now, and althought I'm very grateful to have a job, all I can say is, it's OK.

Still procurement in the Engineering and Manufacturing industry but I now go from procuring materials to a much larger range of things in a multinational company, will mainly be electronics, hydraulics, castings and services plus basically whatever else is needed from a technical perspective.

+1 for multinational. Lucky you.

12 years. Not a fan to be honest. But it pays the bills and despite not being a fan, I am immensely grateful to have a job.

Quite enjoy my job but it's not been particularly mentally stimulating for me as of late. I wake up in the mornings to solve hard problems, and currently I don't get to do that very often.
The result is that I'm a bit bored.

The people in my team are awesome and the environment really suits my personality. Everyone's a type-A, direct, driven individual. It's amazing.

Love it, but would like to work for myself someday

Can definitely be an improvement over a crappy company/boss, but can also be stressful, and ultimately the vast majority of business owners really just work for their clients (although some very few have the privilege of picking and choosing them).

Many people would love to work for themselves but forget to factor in company contributions to pension/provident funds/medical aids/cell phones/transport costs etc.

Family member decided to do his own thing 20 years ago, left a cushy job and started his own company. Today his business has gone down the tubes like many others and he's having to go back to UK because why ....... zilch in the bank and no pension.
