I'ts a tough one but I'm going with Single Player Games that have a strong narrative and well written/fleshed out characters as my preference.

also , maybe it's because I'm getting older but I am starting to suck at MP games which is more frustrating than fun.

Multiplayer is fun if everyone is equally pathetic. I can't host even a quake server at work and have fun with colleagues without 2 douchebags (one of which has 10000 hours on CS) messing it up for everyone.

Don't call CS players douchebags... we prefer more neutral terms. Superior gamer is a better word in this instance. Also not their fault they are better than others at the game.

I like both, depends on the game. Some are geared towards sp with a sucky mp, and others are the inverse...
