I think women are generally more careless when putting stuff down when they enter the house. Perhaps its a psychological difference between the genders.

The only thing I would always look for is my wallet and that's purely because the kids would want money when they go to the mall or something and I'll tell them to get some from my wallet. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time in getting to put something back exactly where they found it.

Many a time I would find my wife throwing out half the wardrobe in the bedroom looking for something that she put in there 2 days ago. While I can casually walk to the exact location I put an item 2 years ago, while drunk, without issue at all.

I think its because women talk too damn much so they can't focus
Too bad you lost your wife anyways....

Toss them in my luggage during travelling in case my bags become "lost" again, meanwhile they were just chilling at the other side of the airport.

I did that last month and also one in my carry on backpack. It was fun following my suitcase around.

Same here, I repurposed my home keys and car keys tag as my backpack tag and checked-luggage tag and it was great being "certain" that my luggage was on the same plane as I was (I could see it moving around the airport and eventually ending very close to the plane I was about to depart in - at one point I could even "Find nearby" it with the UWB capability.

Then again, I guess it could have just as much been very stressful if I knew before I left an airport that my luggage was not going to be on the plane.

Dropped an AirTag in my suitcase yesterday. Worked as advertised.

Please recommend suitable ones for travel. I want to tag our suitcases with all the crap going at European airports.

Most of these in the thread have been Apple Airtags. Big advantage is that it works with every iPhone out there to create a "coverage network" without requiring everybody else to install an app (especially in the N Americas or Europe.

That's why you can drop it in a bag and somebody in an airport (worker or passenger) will get close enough to it with their iPhone and "report" it's location to the Find My network.

It really does work well and I have no idea if Samsung's tags or Tile or others' will work as well (there's perhaps not as many Samsung phones on a high enough software level, and not everybody installs the Tile app).

I bought a Tile for the wife. It pretty much was useless. Battery would run down quickly, and the app never used to work properly.

The Apple air-tags
Got them off an eBay seller for about R1350,00. 4 in a box
Car-keys
Wife's hearing aid
Wife's bag (big as it is, she mislays it)
Will try them in a suitcase when we travel overseas in March (did not think of that)

I am fascinated that people misplace things. It boggles the mind. Its very simple, everything has its place. put the thing in its place.
I think these tags will just make one even lazier.

You want to come and live here
I might be organised but other family members are not
The dog once got locked in the laundry and there was a big panic on
Maybe I should have put one on her collar?

Samsung air tag on the garage key because it's small and easily misplaced.

Should have put it on my main keyring which was stolen in a house robbery end May - jeez I would've lurved to find those keys through an air tag :)

I first used Tile and got some Galaxy tags on Black Friday last year. At R100 a pop they were a steal even though I didn't have a Samsung phone at the time.

Which tile? I had the Pros for a couple of years now and they last a long time.
