did someone mention "the seven ages of rock" yet? I can strongly recommend the "left of the dial" episode

There was a very good doccie on National Geographic (I think) called, "The Koran", it's a series because I have seen a different episode before. They're 2 hours each, but the one of last Sunday was the better than the previous one. It dealt with the various interpretations of the issue of veils (cover head to toe, leave the head, etc), also how the Saudis inserted references to Christians, Jews (when the original only referred to enemies of Islam the Saudis would say something like Jews, Christians in brackets).

Yeah seen Global Metal too, didn't enjoy it as much as the first one though.
If not mentioned before, "Oceans" ... currently showing at Sterkinekor.
Synopsis:
In this stunning documentary from French co-directors Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud (Winged Migration) produced for Walt Disney Studios' Disneynature, audiences will be able to experience our world's oceans as they never have before.
Nearly three-quarters of the earth's surface is covered by oceans, yet strangely we seem to know more about deep space than the world of the sea. With this chronicle the filmmakers have set out redress that situation and to explore the great mysteries and dangers of the seas and to capture the full expanse of the deep and abundant hidden world that has played such a crucial and constant role in the history and sustenance of man and animals alike.

Awesome doccie. My wife's convinced it's fake though, but I reckon it's real.
