Domaincheap, WebAfrica move, and "hosting"

I recently had to get emails working on one of the domains that went from DC to WA, and had to deal with WA support and billing. It was an absolute pleasure, and I was assisted very professionally and helpfully.

I was annoyed at how the transition went, and the fact of a free special suddenly turning into a R39 a month invoice, but this was all dealt with in a matter of minutes by WA support.

For now, I am happy to keep my domains with WA, as well as using them for hosting. They may not be the cheapest option available, but I do very much feel that I am getting what I am paying for...

MY invoice for R39 x 2 which was from the domaincheap name parking was cancelled by WA fairly painlessly and smoothly.
I only have domain names, no hosting.
I am transferring the domains elsewhere purely because I choose to pay with Paypal, and WA does not use it. Not their fault though, and if I wasn't using Paypal, I would give them a chance. Their customer service on the phone was pleasant and efficient.

Oh boy got my invoice R249 for .org.za from R45... guess who is moving today webafrica! I thought my prices will remain the same as DomainCheap. guess I thought wrong.

Hi Graciax452

If you have a few domains registered then it may be worth your while to look at registering for a reseller account with us.
We charge R59.00 for org.za renewals and registrations and provide cloud based name servers at no additional cost.

You should be able to transfer those domains if they have not come of up for renewal.

SAY WHAT??????

I think it was Lino who introduced us to domaincheap and the catchline was that as long as we had a link as our signature, we would not be charged for hosting a website or something, well this morning I see an email from WebAfrica for some money. You guys must be new as I STILL have domaincheap as my signature and do not use your services at all.
