I was rude to them after the lack of a follow up the 2nd time. I did not attempt to blackmail, so becareful what you say. I did not want to complain about my reasons wanting to quit, because im not that kinda person, but they gave me no real choice. All i wanted was to quit and not be billed again...Yes my fault for not reading all the terms. My post pretty much just states those terms that got me in a fizz and the general events that happened. I felt wronged and tried to explain why. But its ok. Im just a regular normal joe. If you think that about me without knowing my side, i dont blame you.

Threats of legal action and public ranting unless you get your way are considered blackmail.

She brought the matter into the public domain with a thread aimed at damaging CW financially. All bets are off IMHO.
Yup, as soon as someone takes something public with the intention of only causing harm because they couldn't get their way even though they agreed otherwise, they should go get ****ed.

For what it's worth, you don't magically gain the right to verbally abuse people because they didn't get back to you on something.

What else do we do now? Anything I post is now an opinion, and not an accurate reflection of the situation at hand. We're rather hamstrung in that the thread has run through 5 pages, and if read as is, reflects incredibly poorly on how we addressed this.

The OP is entitled to claim she is posting facts, yet countering these claims with actual facts that we are willing to stand up in court and defend, is removed. And the entire thread now reads vastly differently to how it did before. Much time was spent addressing the claims of the OP, which are now removed, and we now as a business need to go over each and every one of them once again simply to defend false accusations, which even in the face of evidence to the contrary are allowed to remain untouched.

Like you say, it's difficult to address such false accusations without resorting to stating of facts. Which we did.

Are you really saying you are at zero fault here and that everything i said was a lie?

I totally get that. I would have most likely done the same but how does one balance it? You guys defend yourself by posting the facts. Okay now the facts are posted now people turn hostile towards the OP. Is that fair in your opinion?

I know it is not easy to balance it but I guess mybroadband has to protect it's members and forums too. Whether deleting your replies which I actually don't agree with too is the right thing to do or not the fact remain where do the lines get drawn? It is a very complicated situation I guess that is why the other thread got unlocked again.

Forget everything I said...

I'll tap that :o

I'm honestly shocked... Reading the things SHE wrote to CW on emails doesn't sound like a grown mature woman at all. I've never heard of a woman that speaks like that.

But yes, I would probably tap that too! :D

Rudeness solves nothing and shows a lack of class.

there's never a need for rudeness, irrespective of how hard done by you feel, so in this case suck it up like a big girl

you've never read a Nicci thread then?

That is your opinion. You won't know the OP had that intention. By saying avoid this ISP at all cost is not intent to cause financial harm to a company. It is the opinion of a person that had a bad experience.

as far as the forum is concerned there was no issue until the OP opened a thread and went public, I think CW having done everything that they indicated that they've done and by being transparent were left with no choice, if they'd remained silent then other assumptions would have been made, the subsequent moderation of that thread is absolute BS and once again highlights issues with the way this forum is run

Why did the experience turn "bad"?

What about the bits where they said they were going to 'destroy their business' (I'm paraphrasing a little, as I can't recall the exact wording...)?

And not forgetting god was also out to get CW :erm:

disagree, I think it was blatantly clear that the OP's intention was to shine a light of disrepute on CW and to cause as much damage as possible, this was evidenced in her communication with CW

And the big man steps in and censors. win.
