I am trying to install my new Cell C Branded Huawei E1820 USB modem on a Windows 7 OS running on a Dell inspiron 1720 laptop. The HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem driver fails to install correctly. I have upgraded the driver to version 2.0.6.704 and still get the same problem. I have also tried installing with the firewall switched of and have removed VMWare player from my machine all without success.
After waiting for an age to get hold of Cell C "technical" support I found them to be completely useless, so any assistance with this will be greatly appreciated.
