Driving licence card printer broken again

Renewing was such a breeze for me, I am surprised there are people still dreading it, it was the most efficient service I have ever received from a government department.

Yup for me in 2020 I booked it online, went to Krugersdorp and picked it up a month later, my wife went booked hers last year at Krugersdorp and picked it up a month later.

That is actually what the original intention was for the 5 year period, but it was scrapped due to them realising the ball ache. It's also why that law is in place about the expired drivers license, not card.

And the eye test is in place to weed out those who shouldn't be on the road because they can no longer see.

Unfortunately not for us in the Eastern half of EC. 0 slots for booking in East London for the past few weeks - have to drive to King Williams Town, Mdantsane to get a booking.
Fortunately I discovered by accident that Komga still does walk-ins and the queues are short. Very helpful too... win-win.
That said, enatis has been a boon for car license renewals. Couldn't be happier.

Yeah, my disc was very effortless as well, did not have to go to the Post Office for the first time in a while.

Hopefully it is fixed in all provinces, because it is a very efficient system when it works.

Register on Natis. Log in and click on driver license status. It contains all the info on the process of your renewal. They update it weekly.

  • Licence Status: YOUR DRIVING LICENCE CARD HAS BEEN DISPATCHED TO THE DLTC. CHECK IN A FEW DAYS WHEN YOU CAN GO AND COLLECT IT.

You don't need to argue with the traffic cop, that is your first mistake. Never ever go into being pulled over with a horrible mindset. Go in calmly, present your card and nod, smile and comply, if you get a fine for the card, take it and sort it out. If you don't have time for court that is your problem as it won't go to court,unless you sit on it.

You just take the fine and chuck it in the bin. Then wait and see whether you ever get a warrant of arrest issued against you. Or you could also phone the prosecutor and ask whether it's a requirement to waste each others time.

Must have been Klipdrift. I can't think of any other substance known to man that causes aggression in such small doses!

There is an sms number you send your ID to, it will tell you if it's ready or not. It probably is so do it before it disappears. Remember you don't queue to collect so even if it's not ready it's not really a train smash.

I also never got no sms by the way.
