DStv and MWEB launch free ADSL promotion

Definitely going to look at this option was going to get the telkom promo and pay up a year in advance for my adsl line
 
Mybroadband a little slow on the uptake here? This was reported in the forum a week ago already...:p
 
Brilliant promotion, but who needs paid TV with uncapped? I spend so much time on Youtube, RedTube, TwitchTV and Own3dTV that I barely have time to watch anthing else :/

I feel the same. I visit a friend who has premium all the time and there's never anything on.
 
Neither DSTV nor Mweb call centres know anything about this! DSTV call centre told me I had dialed the wrong number

Existing customers ALWAYS get screwed... ha eh. I agree, where is my 3 month rebate... I should cancel and sign up as a new customer, save myself a couple grand.

just an enquiry please,if we have an existing monthly contract with mweb,if we sign up for the new contract as advertised, can we also benefit from the promotion of the 3 months internet for free?

I signed up for this last week on a 4mbps uncapped data-only package. I saw an advert on the internet (probably here on MyBB or possibly in Google sponsored search results), and sent an email to MWEB to enquire about the special. They phoned me back with the details and answered all my questions, emailed me the application form, which I printed, filled in, scanned in, and emailed back to them. A day later I was up and running.

You need to give them your DSTV smart card number, a copy of your ID, banking details for the debit order, and proof of residence in order to register. I think you can be on any DSTV package, even the Easyview package which costs about R120 a year.

So far so good :-)

I believe this only applies to new MWEB customers. I suppose you can cancel your current MWEB account, and sign up with a different name (your mum, dad, sister, etc) and then you should qualify.
