I think he squeezed an extra zero in there somewhere ;p
Most expensive set I've seen (with the exclusion of diamond encrusted oil sheik variants) has been a 200k B&O 65" plasma...
Unless sony has some new secret weapon that they're not telling me about

I would take Panasonic over Sony any day. Matshu****a has much more
R&D cash than Sony Corp.
Its interesting that lots of people are willing to buy without having seen the product, i.e in store displays of the content, which I guess won't happen until 8th Aug(?). I'd like to see the picture quality first before parting with my R2500.
Phoned my local dstv installer and they admitted they dont have a clue...they need to do a few but he did say it takes 2-3 times as long to isntall and says i can work on about R1500. he also says that if i unplug my dual view and plug it straight into HDPVR it will work, just have to phone multichoice to activate! No mulit switch needed unless i want to actaive dual view....! can anyone upload a pic of the back of the decoder?
The picture is going to be 1280by720. However it will have compression
artifacts. Still in the beginning NoChoice may decide to provide
a lot of bandwidth to their pilot channel just to get people to buy
into the thing. Then when the real content arrives (Movie Magic
and most sports in HD) then we'll see degradation in signal
or massive subs price hikes to pay for the additional bandwidth.
