DStv prices hiked up again

Soon they will be competing internationally with streaming services. So they should enjoy the party while it lasts.

There is no justification for their price increase.Simply pulling a fast one because there is no competition.
Of course everyone will come onto this forum complaining about it BUT grudgingly pay their subs at the end of the month

I will be paying my subs for this for a few more months until I can find a decent HD streaming service for sports, that costs less than Dstv...

Then DSTV will lose me as a subscriber.

How is BoxOffice an added value, you still need to pay for the movie you wish to watch. And the same with DSTV mobile, not everybody uses, but everybody now has to pay for it.

And don't even get me started on the repeats.

Guys, they do this once a year. They went up by 6% which is around inflation. If you rent you it will also go up by that much. DSTV employees will also want a raise. This isn't really extortion, just about the inflation increase.

Sure it is expensive, but that is just the way it is currently. Why are they going to incur the extra inflation related expenses and not pass it on to us?

MultiChoice is such a fail. not even funny. I will never support them. I have enough pc games to play

What it is like to have a monopoly. Yes, I shall carry on paying, against my better judgement, given the sport and soapies my wife watches. Damn, damn, damn.

FFS... I have been trying so hard to get my wife to cancel DSTV

I never watch the crap anyway

I was also frothing at the mouth reading the thread title, but I have to say this is a perfectly valid point.

What still grates my cheese though is the terrible software that runs on their decoder, I think you need a damn mainframe to run that smoothly, and the ethernet port in the physical device just isn't used by the software, it doesn't have any networking features/capability. Come one Multichoice, drop the african gravy train attitude and start innovating for a change, this is basics.

NO PROBLEM!!! All the good little meek sheep will just hand over their cash like the spineless suckers they are! :D
They didn't know how to say no back then, and they are too scared to say no now!
They have no one to blame but themselves.

haha, suckers.
Glad I stopped that crap ages ago.
Almost R600PM for premium? You gotta be f****ng kidding me.
Inflation or not, the prices should at the very least stay the same, seeing as how Internet penetration is slowly but surely gaining ground. Adapt or die.

I swear, South Africans are just as hung up on their DSTV subscriptions as they are about cars.
They'll just keep paying and paying.
