R250 for cable? can buy a whole freaking roll of cable for less then that!
this is why I learned to DIY when it comes to jobs like this
My dad use to do all the DIY stuff in the house so never learnt it
hate to toot my own horn but I'm self taught - actually I'm My broadband taught
learnt from reading and posting here, figured the worst I could do is mess it up and then I would have to call an installer
and don’t pay anymore, call out fees etc! they made the mess up you shouldn’t pay more for that
My mom went and paid the bill even though I told her not to and to get a refund (which they refused)
name and shame the instalers ?
sadly I done that job myself cost me around 400,dual lnb and a splitter and some cable, really easy..... But anyway, cheap B@#&sters
DSTV reps said they going to sort it out on facebook and hellopeter via phonecalls and emails
So hopefully they sort the installers out and I get my refund
ThanksI shall cross my fingers for you

Hello merenwen,
We have tried to get back to you. As per our telephonic conversation, we have managed to get hold of Aerial Sat Manager who confirmed that upon their arrival on the 17 Sep 2012 there was no equipment to accommodate the connection that was supposed to be done. You guys were supposed to use communal distribution system to accommodate two house hold or Multi-unit dwelling system.
It is recommended that each house hold must have own dish installed. Multi-unit dwelling subscription or communal distribution system is recommended for two or more households in the same yard, complex etc.
The installer recommended the twin LNB on the 17 Sep 2012 as a result of above advised. We understand the frustration in this regards however, there was nothing much the installer would have done as you wanted both dstv to work by means of splitter as you could not afford the twin LNB by the time.
The installer also confirmed that when he comes in for the third time, he only charged Labour for installing the LNB that you have bought not the call out fee.
Unfortunately based on above information, refund in question will not be processed.
We hope you will find all in order.
Regards
Donald
Most odd reply ever which had nothing to do with my problem and had lies all over and laughed at the part where they said I have 2 houses in my property, I wish.

Been 3 months of reporting on hellopeter and facebook and they still havent done anything about their accredited installer or refunded me.

Seems like I finally got to someone at DSTv with a clue thankgoodness seems like they may finally give my refund and the guy Troy who stuffed up my installation in the first place was fired so he obviously broke other peoples dstv installations.
So if you in PMB or near there dont use Aerial Sat or Steve's TV rather use Topgun they are way better and cheaper even though they are not accredited with Multichoice, it will save you a few headaches.
