DStv's one-device streaming limit hits major problem

Scores of DStv subscribers have complained that the broadcaster's online streaming service is not working for them after MultiChoice introduced a single-device limit on concurrent streaming.

After a highly unpopular announcement earlier in February, the pay-TV broadcaster implemented its single-device streaming limit on Tuesday, 22 March 2022.

Colour me surprised!
Remember the last update that broke it a month or so ago and still had issues after the fix for a while?
Ah the joys of the stream abruptly stopping for no reason and having to refresh, getting "UNKNOWN" on the stream description, having to go back to the home-page URL and load a channel again.
Stupid UI volume meter on browsers that existed for years, where your cursor had to touch the volume bar exactly, they changed it, then went back to the stupid one again.
The fact it didn't remember your quality settings when switching between channels.
The laggy performance on MiBox compared to Netflix etc. when having to click the up/down button for each time you go down/up the channel list in their new UI. No holding down to scroll faster.
The stream quality going up and down for no reason, on a solid line.
Something else they didn't get right that benefits me immensely but I'll keep tight lipped about that.

So enjoyable to watch them destroy their reputation in multiple ways.

sounds like issues with session timeouts / ip changes.. good luck with that dstv.

That headline. If they dropped the limit, that would mean the service would work as prior to 22 March. Am I missing something here?

So they went ahead with their plan even with the backlash.
That’s one brave company.
Let’s see if South Africans can follow through by unsubscribing.

It doesn't matter.. they were still refering to DSTV implementing less concurrent streams..
It does matter. If they dropped the limit it could mean that there's no longer a limit, depending on interpretation. This was how it looked before Jan changed it
