DStv reduces streaming limit - now some subscribers get zero simultaneous streams

I act like I'm okay but I depend on this DStv streaming to watch Arsenal, Protea cricket (overseas) & importantly F1. My DStv comes courtesy of my girlfriend's aunt's friend's family It's been hard keeping my device as 1 of the 4 registered but this will be an extra pain .

Good move DStv but I doubt this will make me spend R700 on streaming entertainment for sports. I'm a smart guy, I'll figure something out.

https://f1tv.formula1.com/ has blown my mind - really worth the look.. No vpn required.

if you have multiple screens, i try my best to have drive cams visible as well as the main race.

I second the F1 TV option. It's buttery smooth and a better quality stream than DSTV. I watch the Arsenal games through Showmax Pro. I'm willing to forfeit the cricket, especially the form the team is in currently

it kept timing out last year during the races

OK, so you caught me - I did write that code.

Please help me fix the "if" statement so users can watch what they pay for?
What gave it away for me is that you actually put in a comma in the last sentence.

Also just saw the "full stop" on the first line. :D

If you are one of those people paying these idiots, then you deserve what you get, almost what R1000 per month now?????
Got to be sick in your head to still have DSTV
Go and entertain yourself elsewhere please. If you do not have DSTV please refrain from commenting here and calling people idiots.

More shafting... They should really remove the "multi" from their name... And "choice"... Call it a MoneyScheme

I feel your pain. I see some of the solutions offered but I feel like folks don't fundamentally understanding your viewing habits. You're more like me, Supersport can feel like heaven at times. Soccer @ 13h30, some F1 qualy to peak at during the half time and then Six Nations @ 18h00. All of this preceded by some Proteas on the sub continent action.

Happily streaming IPTV using KODI. Gave up certain sport events some time ago and haven't missed it much. I subscribe to a lower tier DSTV sub and only upgrade when a big event is on, eg. World Cups, Olympics, etc.

Mind PM those IPTV details please...

Stupid implementation, I would just make it that when a device wants to stream it disconnects all other devices from their streams with the message "another device has started streaming" and then log that session out.

This way if there are any loose ends on a single device or users home, it doesn't block them at all. Anyone sharing will start kicking each other out of the account until the account owner gets frustrated enough to change their password and not share the details.

No need to PM. Perfectly legal.
Using Matt Huizman's repo.
Some pretty good channels on Plex Live...with EPG.
Check IPTV NZ and AU out too. Some channels don't work, but still some pretty good content.
You could add Github's IPTV playlist too, although it'll take hours to sort the channels that do work.
