DStv charging customers for Disney+ without permission

DStv has incorrectly charged numerous customers for Disney+ subscriptions without them requesting to have the service added to their accounts.

Thanks to a partnership with the Walt Disney Company, the MultiChoice-owned service allows subscribers to bolt on a Disney+ subscription to their monthly bills rather than paying for it separately.

Please report this to Disney and raise a complaint they are just adding this bill to your invoice without consent.
DSTV is Dead

This is the 2nd time in 5 months that they have done this, the previous time I didn't get credit. Will probably be the same this time around.

I pay my DSTV annually
The 2024 invoice (due 1st Feb) arrived yesterday
There is an additional R 2388,00 for "Netflix subs"

I pay Netflix directly and have done long before it was offered on DSTV

But their accounts dispute this and say they confirmed with me in 2022

I told them I use an Apple TV to view Netflix, but they said I must still pay. When asked for a recording of the conversation, they say it is for internal use only and its not for them to prove I subscribed or not

Damn dishonest people. The call centre agent's English was poor. Every second or third word was "hey"

Sneaky b**tards.........they can take that Disney+ and shove it.

Ok, they phoned me and we cancelled it. They have credited me for next month as this month the Disney+ will come off.

To cancel, email them with your customer number, their email: [email protected]

True story. They did the same to me. Lucky I canceled it in time
