Tried a number of SS channels now via the SS app, all seems good (for now).

Will see what it looks like when the Motogp qualifying starts in about 2 hours' time.

Supersport streaming is still messed up for me. Stream skips and jumps around then ends.
DSTV now works perfectly.

How do you connect to the Internet? Device/OS?

Touch wood my stream is still good, so far it was ok this weekend. Will wait for the Motogp later before I decide whether the weekend was good for me.

I connect with SS app on iPhone & iPad (iOS9) / ADSL 10MB.

Last weekend was basically unwatchable but Moto3 was fine earlier on and Moto2 is OK at the moment. Hope it lasts for MotoGP.

So I managed to stream the Motogp without any issues last night.

I managed to stream a number of different sports events without issues this weekend, and the quality was pretty much HD all the time.

Not sure if I just had a lucky weekend or whether DSTV fixed the streaming service, but it was good overall.

Fingers crossed it stays like this.

There was a story they've expanded the Now channels, maybe they were fiddling last weekend. Hope they haven't broken anything.

Haven't noticed new channels on Now; I was using the SS app to stream.

Except the source was SD for it so it looked ****. Will check the F1 on the weekend, but I still think they downgrading the quality from the HD source.

If it's on SS6 online, then it's SD. Why MC can't just make all the SS channels online HD is beyond me. Cricket? HD. Soccer? HD. Rugby? HD. Motorsport? Go suck the SD hind teet there on SS6 you petrolhead!

If one is a premium subscriber, what do you need? Smart card number and account details to use the SS app?

Is that for both the Dstv Now and the supersport App?

Yes, there's a 3rd app you download that does the authentication, DSTV ConnectID or something like that, Now and SS will link you to it when you try register or log in if you don't have it.

That's a bummer. My Dad has a premium account, but not a pvr one. Multichoice trying to squeeze the life out if you. Lol

Anyone who wants to use DSTV Now facilities or the SS apps must first register for a connect ID.

Then you can link your decoders to that connect ID on line by making use of the self service options on dstv.com. once all this is done you will find that most of the time you can only use the streaming facilities IF you also have a PVR decoder and the PVR functionality is activated.

Not sure if this applies to SS as well but it definitely applies to CU access. BO access is available to anyone though.

I stopped showing much interest when I voted MC out by downgrading to the basic package. ( No value proposition for me anymore). Do miss the Rugby though, but when there is a good game on I walk down to the local pub .... And when my current PVRs pack up, that will be the end of that as well ....

Truly hoping that by that time we can get access to the DTT content as a replacement.

website links are:
www.dstv.com, top RHS corner, register for a ConnectID.
log on with your ConnectID, go to self service, mydstv, and link the decoder/s to your connectID.

After that you should be able to access dstvnow services , at least some of them anyway.
