The company supporting MC regarding many smartphones is very slow to react to the release of new smart devices. .. It takes them a good few months to get the apps to work on new phones ....

Streaming was fairly reliable for me so far this weekend.

Had an issue this afternoon where I was channel hopping in the SS app, and all of a sudden it wanted me to enter my username / password again. Took me a few tries before it accepted my credentials and I could continue streaming.

Streaming the Lions Stormers match right now, no hassles so far.
 
I have an idea where we can tell MC to screw them. We get a volunteer to share his premium sub with pvr sub and we all contribute to his monthly expenses. Is it possible to play the MC/SS/DSTV NOW apps simultaneously on varies platforms?

Is this a bad idea or can we trial it guys. :D

Only one person can use at a time though.

What we need to do is have an adopt a Oupa program... lots of them have the premium sub but will never use the streaming part. So we should make a network of old toppies who want to have their subscriptions subsidised and match them with dudes who only want the streaming.

I used to use my old man's account but he just cancelled DSTV.... feels like there is a lot of that going around.

The value proposition for DSTV Premium is now well and truly negative!

And streaming does not make up for anything! When there is a major sport event on in the World, there are always better sites to choose from than Superpsort.

Currently 4 devices can be registered per account. Not sure if they can all be used at the same time ------

Yip, used PC and DroidTV box to watch ruppy and neeoowwss at the same time this weekend. Had no problems actually so that was nice, no SS5 on the android app is weird though.

There's also quite the delay between live and the stream I've found, an issue when you have an idiot friend who enjoys mocking you from across the country whenever anything bad happens. He's now got a spoiler delay he has to abide by.
 
If 4 different devices is allowed then we can group together people who prefer type of device used.
Example, owner has 1st preference obviously, 1x pc, 1x iOS tablet/Mac/phone/media player, 1x android tv/tablet/phone/media player, 1x Linux/Ubuntu or whatever platform.

R100 for streaming services should be suffice if owner has an agreement with other folk.

This is legal in a way as MC allows for 4 different devices and does not clearly state that it has to be from the same owner, meaning family members, friends, etc can use this service.

Can anyone share some legalities into this idea :D
 
Thoughts on mc should be kept offline. This is their favorite lurking grounds. All the bragging does is just cause app updates.
 
When I was travelling , ended up watch highlights after the game , due to regional settings preventing me from watching live !
 
I also found that SS on the DSTV Now app works much better than the SS app. The Now app just unfortunately doesn't have all the SS channels that the SS app has.
