As mentioned, Here are just two sample shots I took in my office quickly.

Both were taken using JPG + RAW. I then "developed" the RAW using the OLY software as I cant in PS CS3 using the standard settings. These are the results

No Flash
Camera JPG: http://www.custom.co.za/E620_Tests/NoFlash.JPG (5.5MB)
RAW Developed: http://www.custom.co.za/E620_Tests/NoFlash_RD.jpg (4.6MB)
RAW file: http://www.custom.co.za/E620_Tests/RAW/NOflash.ORF (11.7MB)

Flash
Camera JPG: http://www.custom.co.za/E620_Tests/Flash.JPG (5.4MB)
RAW Developed: http://www.custom.co.za/E620_Tests/Flash_RD.jpg (4.9MB)
RAW file: http://www.custom.co.za/E620_Tests/RAW/Flash.ORF (12.7MB)

Then a 200% crop of a section of the photos:

RAW developed file:
Flash_200percentCrop.jpg

Camera JPG:
Flash_RD_200percentCrop.jpg

Wow - I've got nothing that will even look at those RAW files.

:( Same problem here. the Olympus Master software is the only thing I can use.

Its really CRAP that they force you to use the latest PS, LR and so on in order to use the newer camera's

Photoshop works for me. Adobe DNG converter 5.4.0.47 handles it too which allows me to open them in Aperture.

I take it you're a ps4 user?

I wouldn't go as far as calling myself a "user" (struggler is more accurate) but yes, I have CS4. I thought the RAW support depended on Camera RAW though?

Show off.

The latest Camera Raw only works with PS4. :o

Are you able to get any thing better out of the RAW files than the in camera JPG's or the Oly software with it?

Going to kick myself if I have to upgrade to PS4

No . . . Lightroom. ;)

DNG Converter into Aperture. Auto exposure, auto levels, white balanced.

100% crop

If bwana got that out of Aperture, there isn't much of a chance I'll do better with PS - I'm useless with PS

Adobe Bridge CS4 allows you to open a jpg or raw file in Camera Raw. It's awesome as there's no need to shoot in raw to get the benefits of Camera Raw.

Opening a JPEG in Camera Raw doesn't give you the benefits of the RAW format.

So DNG converter should allow you to use it in CS3, no?
Yes. But remember - that 11mb becomes a 32mb photoshop photo - add a layer and its 102mb . . . thats why I only roundtrip to PS when I have to.

Except you dont.

I'm with you on that, but why would you need to if you can convert to DNG and just use Aperture?
