Easy Equities good or bad?

When you go to the deposit tab, enter the amount and a message will appear below if you exceed.

Mine shows "You have reached your TFSA deposit allowance" as I made a single R33k deposit

Ok, I see it now, at the bottom of the example window, they give a breakdown:
There is a R 33 000.00 annual contribution limit and a R 500 000.00 lifetime limit. Within the current financial year you have deposited R##### into your TFSA Account which means you can still contribute $$$$.

Does anyone know of a way to sort ETFs by age?

I've been trying to find new funds to invest in and can only find stuff that's a few years old.

So I looked at my recent transaction history and thought, wow that's weird. Then I looked closer and it is calculated all wrong, I received dividends and payouts but from the previous total to the next total I have less. Then I went and checked my TFSA account's recent transaction history and there as well, albeit less, also a calculation error where I'm losing money.

What was the source of these dividends? Are these dividends from an ETF that automatically reinvests them?

Can you provide a bit more detail to give some context? Maybe an example..

I had a look and it was dividends from a company not an ETF.

So I don't want to reveal too much, since I did contact support and waiting for them to get back to me.

But here is an example, with some changed numbers but it shows what happened: from old to new
Account Balance Brought Forward R 72.00
Dividend payout R13
20% dividend tax -R2
VAT on Cash Management Fee -R0.02
Cash Management Fee -R0.11
Interest R0.40
Account Balance Brought Forward R70

This is what it looks like, those are the payments I received and was deducted, not exact numbers but you get the point. The account balance it starts off with, is more than after the dividend and interest payments. Which boggles the mind.

Are you not maybe reading it wrong way around?

If you are looking at the summary pages then the newest stuff is at the top.

Best to pull the full report and check it in excel instead.

Yes, I reversed it here for readability sake:
Here it is with dates:
2020-01-26 Account Balance Brought Forward R 72.00
2020-01-27 Dividend payout R13
2020-01-27 20% dividend tax -R2
2020-02-01 VAT on Cash Management Fee -R0.02
2020-02-01 Cash Management Fee -R0.11
2020-02-01 Interest R0.40
2020-02-09 Account Balance Brought Forward R70

That is on my normal account. Where I received money but only the deductions count against the total. Very weird. My TFSA account is not a big difference like that, there I counted it up and got R2 too little.

Property never goes down easily will be a good try

This is a myth started by boomers in the early 2000's.

The property market in SA gave worse than Cash returns for over a decade. It is only going to get worse.

Rather put your money in a nice fixed deposit at 9% if you want a safe investment.

We had a bit of an error on our side that caused a few users accounts to show the incorrect balance carried forward. Our team has since sorted this out and order should be restored to the world.
