Entry Level Cars

had my suzuki serviced recently (first service), excellent and no extras to pay for

Not so much feeling the Sandero, was looking at the Renault Kwid, but reviews not so great.

I had a Kwid as a rental. My personal opinion is to stay far far away. It is by far the cheapest (I am not referring to price) new car I have driven from a rental company.

The only good thing I can mention is the 7" Touchscreen Navigation Infotainment System (with dynamic speed warnings), but even that was weak, as Google Maps still ended up being my preferred navigation method during the trip in question...

Any opinions about the Kia Picanto?

Too expensive compared to the Swift of you're looking at the same engine size and basic safety features like ABS and passenger airbags. But... probably nicer interior (maybe)

Maybe also look at 2 year old vehicles, you will be able to get a car from the compact hatch segment, most of the cars from that segment have better Autos than entry level vehicles, such as the Opel Corsa, Kia Rio, Hyundai i20, Suzuki Baleno, Mazda 2, Ford Fiesta.

Why waste funds on a brand new car? Nothing wrong with something older. You get more bang for your buck.

Or you get a car with tons of problems and service/warranty plan is done and then your buck goes bang ;)

You realise that if everybody only ever buys second hand cars there will be only ex-Avis Corollas available?

when you calculate the fixed cost per km of the the used vehicle, multiplied by the kms driven, you will find that used vehicles are way over-priced

If no one wasted funds on buying a new car, none of us other folk would have cars to buy..
