IMO just buy it here better safe then sorry. U can be ending up losing warranty and paying 10% or more
I'm not sure about Thailand, but my deal I got in Singapore saved me about R5k, so it was well worth it. The camera's have become so reliable these days I think the warranty is a moot point, how long is the warranty valid for anyway, is it lifetime? I'll have to go and check what mine said.
HahahaWent to a camera store to buy a CF card, the salesman was quite hilarious, I love people with a sense of humor, I asked for a high speed 32GB CF card, he cracked me up by saying R2200.00
So I went to game and bought a cheap 4GB 30MB/sec (same brand) for 250 for now.
For a 7D which speeds should I be looking at? I think the one for 2k might be a too much? The last thing I want is for the card to have an affect on the burst, although 30MB/sec seems plenty.
I got a 32gig high speed from cats digital for R550.
To get the most out of your camera you want a UDMA CF card, and yes, they're a little on the pricey side. For a 7D which speeds should I be looking at? I think the one for 2k might be a too much? The last thing I want is for the card to have an affect on the burst, although 30MB/sec seems plenty.

Not in a position to comment on it as I've never used Transcend but they seem to hold up pretty well here http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/camera_wb_multi_page.asp?cid=6007-10294Thanks!
It seems to be way cheaper to just import these from the US
How about this one?

Also looking to get an entry level DSLR. Looking at something second hand. Max budget around R3500. I've been offered a 1000D, 18-55mm lense (which I will probably sell), bag, battery, SD card etc for around R2700. Good deal?
You can stop that right now!I got a small bag for my D7 knowing that most of the time I would use one lens, costed less than 200, also the guy at the shop advised me to get a lens filter to protect the lens, this was 100 bucks, seemed logical knowing the lens is worth a couple thousand.
