Cesc Fábregas signs Barcelona contract to finalise Arsenal departure

Cesc Fábregas has signed a five-year contract with Barcelona, finally sealing his departure from Arsenal, the Spanish club has announced. The midfielder, who has had a €200m (over £175m) buy-out clause inserted in his contract, arrived at Camp Nou on Monday morning after undergoing a medical and is now set to be presented to local media.

Fábregas's former manager, Arsène Wenger, is also due to hold a press conference to discuss one of the most prolonged transfer sagas of recent memory.

Something I don't understand with Barca... they have so many midfield options but 0 backup for Puyol/Pique wtf do they keep signing Strikers and Midfielders?

They just keep the ball, which makes it extremely difficult for the other team to score. I am sure that if either Puyol or Pique were in other teams they would not be considered terribly great defenders.
 
Macdonald Mariga has joined real sociedad on loan. They have an option to make the deal permanent for €7 mil.

Pique is awesome, he'd be a great defender for any team.

Puyol, I'm not so sure.

Things like this actually pisses me off. Porto were such a great team last season. Now they've lost both their coach and their star player which means they probably aren't gonna win much this season. Why can't a great team just stay together and get better and better. Sucks that they always get broken apart.

But hey that's money for you I guess.
 
Its porto's business model they always buy cheap and sell high once the player reaches a certain level. Bought falcau for €5 million.

What the hell do they do with all the money coming in ?

Didn't Mo also sign up half the Porto team when he joined Chelsea ?
