I personally didn't see it anywhere in the shop but the sales consultant mentioned it to me.

I purchase it in the app. Select the data bundle term as 180 days and it shows in the drop down.
I have also purchased it in store before.

To get an eSIM, Cell C have asked me to bring;

ID: page 1 & 2 + page 4&5
Proof of address not older than 3 months.

So I went to Cell C and got myself the Home Connecta Flexi package with my eSIM.
R59 for that and then a R49 once off fee for the eSIM.

The ladies at Howard Centre, Pinelands were very helpful - this was the 2nd eSIM they've done so they had to figure it out as well.

I had to come to the office and just do some modifications because they didn't label certain things correctly etc.
Like my "primary" was called "secondary" and "secondary" was called "secondary" - on the iPhone I just called Primary = Vodacom and Secondary = Cell C

Ok CellC are still unsure what to so the best is to do as below (this is for a mini 13 with MTN physical and CellC esim)
Open the Mobile Data setting
Select add Data Plan
Scan the QR code that is inside the CellC eSim card(open it - they dd not know where it was)
Done

If you’re looking for data and have a dual sim phone then I’d honestly recommend getting a rain physical sim, R299 for uncapped or R250 for off-peak uncapped (11pm - 6pm) and just use the esim for calls and sms

The problem with RAIN (for me is) Once you hit Sir Lowry's pass in Cape Town - no reception the rest of the way.
What their coverage map says and what it is - are 2 very different things.
I was with a colleague who has a RAIN sim - we were in the gardens (behind Parliment) and she had no signal/data.

WTF is the point then when you in the middle of the city.

In store, its a sim swap basically so you will need the normal RICA docs etc

Sometimes the store is out of stock of the esim so if you are traveling far, try to check stock before hand

I have just converted my sim card to an esim on a samsung note 20 ultra 5g, I want to use a mtn sim card as a backup, do I insert it into the sim1 or sim2 socket? If j insert 2 normal Sims into the phone with the esim will the phone recognize all 3 sims?

Apparently eSim is available on CellC , found the link below , reached out to the @cell_c rep here who confirmed its available, i can't find any more information online , whether its contract only or available on pre paid.

Apparently these vouchers are only available at selected stores.

Did you use a pre-existing number or did this allocate a new number ?

They confirmed they had eSIM stock and that as I already have a physical SIM it would be classed as a SIM swap and cost me R11. It's a one time fee, unlike the competition.

If I wanted a new eSIM / number, then the cost would be R59.

I see, I thought you were being facetious.

As is detailed in the previous seven pages, one way that you are provisioned with an eSim, is via a scannable QR code which you get in CC shops.

And as I posted, the branch in question has stock of these QR-codes...
