I bought two esims from Gateway at R50 each on prepaid. It was simple and handled very well by the staff member. Activated immediately on 11pro max and 12pro max, mobile numbers allocated after activation. Works like a bomb. Vodacom does not support esim on iPhone and MTN only supports esim on contract. Cell C FTW.

Correction vodacom does actually but only on open-ended contracts done it myself. Tell them its for a device or anything and you just can the code and it will work.

@Cell_C - how would the transfer of esim work from one device to another?
Do you need to get another voucher or can you use the transfer feature in IOS to move it to another device?

An activation eSIM QR Code Voucher (“activation QR code”) will be allocated to you. The activation QR code is used for the activation of your eSIM profile and must be kept confidential.

Thanks for the response. Got an eSIM at Sandton Cell C this morning. Took 15 minutes to get the sim and set it up with my iPhone XS Max. Saw that Apple Watch can't be setup as of yet. Looking forward to the addition!

Yes you can. Im using one on my iPhone as a data only sim. The speeds are also gret.
