Excuse me... There is something great in Roodepoort... MeYou Roodepoortans get really defensive, You would think there is something great going on there, But it is a dull place with weird atmosphere. @Lupus will concur.
I didn't ask in that particular way, but asked them to confirm with their Head Office and shown Facebook message confirming the claim to Cell C guys, but they all had lame excuses, system isn't integrated yet, updated, blah blah.
Does anyone offer PAYG esims for wearables yet?How do i get an esim for a Samsung smart watch. I have a contract mtn sim in the phone....
I have an esim on prepaid from cellc, took 3min in store
I take it you have tried it?The trick with Vodacom (for prepaid) is to ask them to give you an eSIM with a new number then SIM swap through the call centre. The employees will tell you it doesn’t work, but it definitely does.
Yup. My main number’s a Vodacom prepaid eSIM, been running flawlessly for a month and a bit now.I take it you have tried it?
So ask for a contract eSIM with new number, then call the call centre?
Anyone else have an update on whether the prepaid issue has been resolved on Vodacom yet?

I have tried this multiple times at multiple branches over the last month or two and they all say that prepaid eSim is not working yet and they can't sell them.Yup. My main number’s a Vodacom prepaid eSIM, been running flawlessly for a month and a bit now.
Not sure about contract, but if you ask for a prepaid eSIM with new number then call the call centre it’ll work.

Today I caved in and asked for a new contract eSim (SIM only, cheap one with airtime only) so that I could sim-swap to it. It took nearly two hours of sitting with a person to do this. Then when the confirmation SMS came through for me to approve the sim-swap about 2 hours later, it failed. I got a call to say they would try again tomorrow...
Get this - when I asked the consultant what email address I should send the 3 months bank statements to, for RICA, she took my phone and typed in her personal gmail address! Surely that is highly irregular and unethical, especially in light of POPI?
I gave it a long thought and then asked if there was not a Vodacom address that I could send it to and she gave me another one and said it would take longer to come through.
Well, a few days ago, I again went to a mall close by. The excuses were the same; I even asked them to call their helpline, and one (Vodacome Representative) straight away declined, stating that she could not. Whereas the lady at Cell C actually took a rude road. Maybe it's my ethnicity, nationality, or whatever, or I'm just a dumb person who does not want to make a scene for an eSIM.I mentioned to go to the store and tell them to call the call centre. The call centre will walk them through the process.

At the moment, Hammanskraal. But I've tried in Alberton, Joburg and Pretoria before.Where are you based again? Can direct you to the store that helped me
No, carriers charge a monthly or recurring fee for an eSIM. You just pay a once-off activation fee. Probably what you're being charged is the "monthly fee for the linked number." The linked number service is for using the same number on a main device plus additional devices such as wearables, etc.So, whos offering the best Esim package?
Im not keen on paying vodacom R25 a month just for a number,
I was looking at Melon etc, but they dont seem to offer?
