So I'm trying to get the cheapest flight to Europe in December and it seems that after my return ticket booked, I will be cash less:cry:. Can anyone direct me to the cheapest airline to fly into Europe?

I stumbled upon EasyJet to move inside Europe, but to get there seems a bit more troublesome.

Any help would be appriciated!:)

Air Berlin? Have not heard of them. Turkish was really good and (business class) was at least R 2500 less than Swissair and SAA, from CT to Basel

Into Europe? Emirates, Turkish, Etihad
In Europe? EasyJet, Ryanair (avoid whenever you can), Jet2

Once took Ryanair from Dublin to London. About 20 mins into flight, captain said there was a problem and we had to land in Birmingham. It took another 6 hours to get an alternative flight, I could have got there quicker on the train!

Airberlin is quoting me R 7300 from JHB to Munich, Turkish is around R 10 200. Maybe I should try a travel agent?

a.zombi - Skyscanner is just giving me SA rates, even if I put in Munich.

What do you mean by SA rates?

Not sure which dates you're looking for but 13/12-23/12 for R7131 on British Airways.

I searched from Jhb to Munich (20/12 - 07/01), but when I clicked searched it shows me flights to CapeTown and Durban. Really weird

That's odd. It's working fine on my side.

20/12-07/01 is R7131 on BA.

Have a look at my search results (not sure if I'm doing something wrong as it looks like a nice website) Results

Hope it helps.

Hi Peder, not sure about their T&C, as they say you need to fly before the 31st of Dec (but have 12 months max stay)

Fly there before then....

Also try selecting different "landing" air ports, often the airtax differs allowing you to save money...

I use travelstart.co.za

Prices are good and the website compares all the airlines.

Um, Europe is kinda large. That's like an American asking where the cheapest tigers in JHB are...

Right at this moment, British Airways seems the cheapest way to go. Not a bad airline and food so-so (at least you will have South African food when you leave Jhb)

I generally use kayak to compare flights but to the uk I almost always fly virgin

Hmmm... Even this American knows tigers arent indigenous to Africa. :p
