In that first video I posted, shows that as well as them actually playing Dust :)

22d and 13h before I can get my Carrier - cant wait :P

I wonder what the SA EVE player base is like...

We are 4 South African's in Paxton Alliance (Providence Region)...lost our space here thou to AAA/UK etc so we'll be moving soonish.. Been playing for 1 1/2 years now and still enjoy it alot :)

Cool :) Me and a friend have also played for some time now - mostly just on and off 'dabbling' but getting more serious about it now :P

Awesome game and only getting better!

Good to know some fellow SAffers are fighting the good fight against AAA and their pets. I was under the impression Paxton was managing to keep their space, sad to hear that's not the case... where do you guys intend to go?

A couple of us SA players are also in the Northern Coalition fighting the Southern Coalition at the moment.

Waited all day yesterday for new expansion... downloading this morning.

Given that I've played WoW for a few years and played this for about six months... comparison of free expansion updates...actually able to use in game money you make to pay for your monthly subscription... you can make or lose money running a corp (guild) makes for a different level of game play.

Happily mining away in high sec

I could'nt get out of Eve University before RL caught up with me, only ever seen null sec in a Uni blob :( I miss Eve soo much it hurts to see post's about it, even getting the Eve mail makes me cry

One day soon ill be back with a vengance and you will all fear the capsuleer name Alderrin in my shiny new Navy Raven, LOL ! :p

I used to be an avid EVE Online Player... really enjoyed the economy and the politics of it all.

To me, Eve is still one of the most complex and comprehensive universes out there -- which is extremely daunting to new players, but ultimately rewarding the long run.

So why'd I stop? Simple - I didn't have all the time that EVE demands to be at its most enjoyable :)

But If I ever rediscover time... sign me up ;)

smoooth so far, although only logged in to change skills and check out some new things. Haven't heard any major issues yet.

I just hope it doesnt cost a billion isk to start up a colony when it does kick in. lol

I also used to be an avid EVE Online player. Had an industrial character, and ventured in low-sec and null-sec mining, good money but high-risk. Gotted podded twice, both times my own fault, should have read sector piracy reports! :-).

My char. is stiil in-game, but now being played by an ex-corpmate who wanted an instant Orca pilot.

I found Eve to be quite enjoyable....the only thing I didn't really like was how rediculously long it takes to learn new skills :( I suppose it's fast to get things to skill level 3, but skill level 4 and 5 are just insane. Spending more than a month on a single skill point is just too much to pay a subscription for.

However, my MMO pace has changed as of late. Much more of a passive player, which EVE allows for far better than most MMOs. Might give it another shot as high sec miner or salvager.

What are your guys take on characters who use sensors to detect other players doing missions, and then go grab their salvage ship and come in and salvage up all the ships behind the guy? I'm not sure what the etiquette is on that. I came across a youtube video of it the other day and it seemed like a good idea.

Grey..If you want to be polite...ask the dude if he plans on salvaging and then go from there. I usually do a mission then come back with my salvager to get it all real quick :P...so I get anoyed to find my field harvested so to speak :P

Beware of those granting you permission to salvage their wrecks and as soon as you're flagged for "stealing" kills you. Better ask them to surrender their wrecks 1st "Blue Wrecks" :)

Stopped this a couple months back due to lack of money for game time...I probably should have activated that PLEX /facepalm

I was busy training Heavy Assault ships for an Ishtar :p Was last seen in a Navy Domi

How much do you have to pay to play this game monthly.
Is it realy worth it?
