All your doing when purchasing it through Steam is the same thing as purchasing it direct, ie: buying an account not the software. Wether you download the software off steam or from eveonline, your account details remain the same. If you want a free 21 day account to trial , pm me and I'll send you a mail. You'll still have to download it though. Last time I downloaded the full client was about 1.5-2Gigs.

www.eve-central.com is one of several places that gives market values of items, though not always 100% up to date as it relies on player's data

How do you sell to the station vs how do you sell to someone's buy order? Can you sell a partial amount to a buy order or do you have to sell the full amount (if the buy order is 1000 units, can I sell 500 units or do I have to sell 100 units to get the buy order price....or do you actually have to engage the buy order in order to sell to it?)

If someone wants 10,000 veldspar and you have 2000 then you will sell that and that buyer will still need someone else to full-fill the other 8000

Learn marketing "Skill at selling items remotely. Each level increases the range from the seller to the item being sold. Level 1 allows for the sale of items within the same solar system, Level 2 extends that range to systems within 5 jumps, and each subsequent level then doubles it. Level 5 allows for sale of items located anywhere within current region."

Hey all,

So i've downloaded the trial and am looking forward to giving it a go tonight. Im thinking im probably going to like being a trader who is also able to do at least a fair bit of pvp. Is that combination possbile?

Does it matter much what race/bloodline you choose? Or can I just choose whatever I think looks cool and end up being a trader/pvp person?

Hey, it doesnt really matter for when u start out. U have a 14 or 21 day trial? if 14 pm me your e-mail addy and I will mail you a 21 day trial :)
 
Sup gents, I started playing in 2006 and now have 4 chars lol.
This is the only game I play. Friends often give me games to play but after 30min im bored and then im back on eve.
Yah its true, this is the most time consuming game evr.
Last year while on holiday I spent 15 hour days just playing lol.
Till my friends and GF started moaning heehee.

Got nice 20 Day skills set on my chars. Lesson 1 of Eve maintenance/patch day, SET A LOOOOONG SKILL!
 
Doing that stupid PI Command Center upgrades V, 24Days. Think its down to 17 and 19 now respectively.

I've been playing eve way to long to make the noobish mistake of not setting a long skill training.
