Eve Online

I last played it in 2005... lol... just send a petition to get my account details... will load it up sometime soon hopefully and check it out.
 
I have the 21 day trail account, now i want to upgrade to a normal account.

Do i just go online and buy a "activation code" or do i buy the game somewhere to get the code and for both questions, where would i find the cheapest code.
Do i lose the rest of the 21 days i have on the trail account?

I would use the 21 days first, on your 21st day pay for the account. You can buy time cards online etc or set up a debit order directly with Eve. There is no advantage yet in moving to a "normal" account vs trial unless you are specifically looking to train certain skills, however most of those skills are not worth training first, rather learn others.

Also, this may sound difficult but try and get a long term plan in place. Use EveMon and battleclinic to see what you want to be flying in a year and correctly fitted. Once you have that you can do a neural remap to optimise your attributes but this can only be done once a year. Also investigate implants and learning skills to increase your skill/hour rate.
 
In the account section of eveonline.com you can set up a subscription with a credit card, or use a credit card to buy 2 Plex for about US$35 or make enough isk in game to buy a Plex from the market

you can buy plex on the Market, whats the going rate, i read its about 30mil?

so for $15 i get 30 days (does my 21 days fall away if i active the game card?)

for $35 i get 30 day GT and +- 30mil?

Whats the fastest way to make ISK ? :P

Im busy downloading the game.... should finish tonight and then I'll start a new account/trial .... are there any local groups on the server that I can join ? Some sort of myBB/RSA community ? A guild
 
Its corporations in Eve, similar to guilds in wow except a corp pays you as member.

Mining is a way to make isk.. I have two characters and can mine enough per month to buy a Plex, which my corp sells at a good price

There is a SA chat group , RSAChat I think. Ask in there but the beauty of Eve is its people and a single timezone alliance will fail in low/null sec.
 
what would you guys suggest i do?

Pay the $15 and just get the 30 days going or go the $35 and sell one plex route?
 
Go $35, but dont sell the other plex. play the game and make isk. When you get to a point of skill that you need to buy a ship for 300+ then you got it to hand.
 
I'm sure you'll be picked up, lots of noob corps or look in the recruitment in the forums.

Put all you possessions in the biggest hauler you can fly (Bestower/Badger/Iteron/etc), and set your autopilot to Amamake. A friendly recruiter will meet you in system. You can also fly to Planet 3 - Asteroid Belt 1 if you are in a hurry to meet someone in person.



JK (Amamake is a notorious pirate haven, don't go there!)

A 4 day old char should still be subscribed to the Rookie Chat channel. Check there - people often advertise to recruit newbies over there. Just make sure they aren't out to scam you. Check the tax rate for the corp and if they ask you a "joining fee" you should just walk away. You can always try the recruitment forums (http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=channel&channelID=109585) or join Eve University (http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Applying_to_Eve_University).
 
Lol.... there's a guy in Arnon who puts out containers all over the place called "take me" and "take me now" etc..... as soon as you take the contents an Armageddon materializes and kills you.
