Evetech Delivery Times

I've placed my order with Evetech 8 weeks ago, they sent me the wrong stuff 3 times.

Now I requested a refund and its been 3 weeks - no communication and can't get hold of them via telephone or email.

Really pathetic.
 
Good Morning Zaga, hope you are well. Please advise on this matter. I have a mate whose MSI 1060 6GB GPU died and he returned it to the retailer. Guess who? Evetech... Yeah I know... So the card was purchased with a 3-year warranty and it is still within that period. When he returned it they said they will only partially refund because they are taking into account depreciation on the card. Initial purchase at R5000. Offering R3400 in refund with R1600 being depreciation. Has anyone ever heard of this practice before as I have not? I am extremely concerned that he is being taken for a ride and need advice on this matter

You don't get a refund, it must go back in for fixing or replacement. If your mate requested a cash refund that is actually very nice of them. Then yes, R3400 is not bad for a second hand card. Or your mate must just settle for a replacement or fix under warranty. What did he expect? A full refund after 2 years of using it? On what planet?

NO! They must either replace the card under warranty and if they can't honour the warranty then they must refund you in full.

My last warranty claim from an online retailer the item was no longer available and they gave me a full credit for the item to purchase something else.

Don't settle for bullschit.

In-store credit probably @Gtx Gaming did they say they cannot replace it or fix it and the only option is a cash refund?

That's fine, in my case it was a PSU model no longer made, got full credit and purchased a newer model which means a new full warranty as well. They never tried pulling this depreciation crap. That's the difference between evetech and a reputable company operating with honour & integrity.

I have received two full in store credits from Evetech, one two years into warranty, the other almost 3 years into warranty (GPU's), back when one was still considered a client, but no cash refunds.

Kinda agree with this, I had a Sinotec TV and it popped after 2 years, Game gave me a full refund and that allowed me to get a larger Samsung.
I've even had PC international give me a full refund after a PSU popped after 1 1/2 years.
 
Ordered 21st so 1 week has gone by and no movement.. which was expected I guess.

They offered me a cash refund but I opted for the credit as I was gonna get the new higher rated psu from them anyways so only had to pay in a few rand.
 
I've made a mistake... I bought a PC from them today before reading about what's going on...

My case did arrive few days back, pretty happy for the value for money, even know it took so long to get here

Yea... well they said 4 to 6 days lead time.

Its been 9 bussiness days lol

Oh well should get it sometime next week.

Also it's a huge order.. 50kg all in all.

How long did you wait until it was delivered?
